First time trying this place. It’s kind of small but cozy. Service was a little slow but they were working hard. I had to ask a couple of times for a coffee refill. Food was very good but the portions are pretty small except the pancakes. A young boy next to us got the full stack chocolate chip pancakes. He was in shock. I got the breakfast burrito meal. Came with a small burrito cut in half and a small portion of hash browns. It was delicious. We also got a cinnamon roll. It tasted like orange frosting but was tasty. My wife enjoyed her omelette. My daughter liked her French toast but not the eggs. Overall enjoyed our visit. I definitely would return.

*ETA* since it wont let me respond to the manager-
1.) we ended up ordering chocolate milk, because the restaurant didn’t have the “powder” for hot cocoa. That is my point. You can be out of it but clearly its just a powder and not actual hot coca. We ordered chcocolate milk. We didnt “save money”
2.) I dont leave negative reviews unless it’s a mold infested hotel or restaurant with not good food. You can scroll and see my boastful reviews of amazing reaturants in the area.
3.) A nice thing would have been to say “man im sorry we didnt met your expectations” vs. Trying to justify the fake chemical tasting food.
4.) Im aware how soft local scrambled eggs taste. I eat them daily. This was nasty wet soggy no flavored scrambled eggs.
5.) Funny how the restaurant didn’t even mention the chemical tasting red dye fake raspberry syrup drizzle.

No idea how this place is highly recommended. The food was literally inedible.
I got the lemon ricotta pancakes-which are supposed to be their specialty. The raspberry drizzle is a fake raspberry and so chemical tasting its inedible. You know the cupcakes that have so much food dye you can taste it? That’s what the “raspberry” drizzle tasted like. Red food dye. There was no lemon other than some zest on top. The pancakes were dense – not light and fluffy. I mean. Literally i ate two bites and couldn’t eat any more it tasted so chemical.
You couldnt eat the scrambled eggs & hashbrowns either. It was a fake butter and soupy. (You can see in the picture). I love butter and these tasted AWFUL.
We ordered a breakfast quesadilla too. Zero flavor.

We tried to order hot cocoa and they “didnt have any”?? So they use packets and not real cocoa? How can you not make hot cocoa?

The server was kind and offered to remake the food, but after gross bites we didn’t want to eat anymore. She discounted our meal, which was nice. Server was kind & restaurant was empty.

Biscuits and gravy were good, but need more sausage in the gravy. Biscuits themselves were great. Eggs cooked nicely with no scorching! Bacon was awesome. Wife had the pancakes stuffed with eggs and bacon … pretty good. Service was excellent. Small place, we had to sit by the door and it was chilly.

We used to go here often when we lived in OP. The service was ok, food was pretty good, but floors were always full of crumbs and dirt. What stopped us from coming here ever again was when we ordered a big pickup order. My friend ordered, and she was getting frustrated with the person taking our order. She was pregnant at the time and having a hard pregnancy. I picked up the order and tipped them well. We get home and the biscuits and gravy had NO gravy, literally dry biscuits with a tiny bit of gravy. We had gone there very regularly so I know this is not how they serve it. All I can assume is that they decided to seek retribution for my friends bad mood. If you don’t want to take someone’s order because they’re frustrated or rude, that’s their choice. But to take our order over $60 and then serve us a poor rendition of their menu items? That is petty and unprofessional. We never went back. Lots of better brunch places near us now that we live near downtown. This place is mediocre unfortunately.

I’m just an old stickler for a basic breakfast. I was surprised by the choices but loved the unique menu options!
You can enjoy a variety of upper class styles with a quality of rich original dishes.

Very good breakfast options. All my family were happy and pleased with their options.

I didn’t love the coffee flavor but everything else was good.

I had a breakfast burrito. Good combination of vegetables and protein. I love the fresh hash browns.

Husband and cousins had the Angry Irishman it was very good. Just be careful of you are not used to super spicy flavors, it is raw jalapeno. We really liked it.

We shared a caramel macchiato pancakes. It is a very good combination, I would just like the toppings to be on each layer of the pancakes bc just having them on the top was not enough for all the pancakes 🙂

And my friend had a Mediterranean avocado toast, it looked good and she liked it.

We will definitely return when we are around Overland Park.

Had a great breakfast with the family here.

It is definitely a cozy spot, but we did not have to wait long, maybe about 10 minutes.

I ordered the angry Irishman, my wife ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich, my son, ordered the apple cider, pancakes, and my wife and I wanted to share the lemon ricotta pancakes.

Everything was just absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The service was also very good.

It is a little pricey compared to other spots, but you are paying for quality, and in many cases, scratch cooking. As such, you can taste the flavor difference and quality.

I shared my personal experience with this business which I have frequented several times. They responded to my review saying “there’s nothing we can do now.” Which isn’t true at all, they just don’t want to try. THEN WENT ON TO LEAVE MULTIPLE FRAUDULENT REVIEWS FOR MY BUSINESS WHICH IS ILLEGAL IN KANSAS AND PUNISHABLE BY LAW. Vindictive frauds who take zero accountability with mediocre food. I will never go to a wooden spoon or support their products such as “perfect crumb” bread. If this is how you do business you won’t be in business long. Beware!!!

Ordered pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, orange juice, and coffee. The pancakes had very little flavor. They were served without butter which we had to ask for. Any restaurant that offers pancakes with no butter doesn’t know the American tradition. They claimed the orange juice was freshly squeezed but if it were freshly squeezed, it came from a bottle. The restaurant was dirty. There were hand prints on the glass. Most of the tables hadn’t been wiped. We came at the end of the day right before close so not alot of people. There’s no excuse for dirty restaurants. The pepper bottle on our table was mostly empty so obviously isn’t refilled very often. There was chipped paint on the walls. The owners need to spend more time making their place presentable and clean.

We are big foody people so eat out alot. We had high hopes of this place but it was disappointing.
