Reviews
I kept it simple and basic and got the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and masala tea. My favorite tikka masala I’ve discovered since moving to Orlando! Will be back to try some of the other menu highlights for sure.
Was kindly offered rice pudding on the house which was absolutely delightful. Didn’t know I liked rice pudding until now!
Thanks to the incredibly kind and attentive staff for making the experience so enjoyable! Would recommend to anyone considering. Solo diner friendly, family dining friendly.
Atmosphere
We visited on a Monday around 1 PM, during a slower time of day (just before their 3–4 PM closure), and it turned out to be perfect. The space felt intimate and quietly elegant — not crowded, not rushed. Just calm, warm, and thoughtfully designed. It made for a relaxed Valentine’s lunch without feeling overly formal.
The Food
Chris ordered the Korma, and I chose the Makhani. What we appreciated right away was being able to customize the spice level. I ordered mine mild — and it still carried a noticeable heat. But here’s the thing: it wasn’t overwhelming in a bad way. It was the kind of warmth that builds slowly, layered into the sauce, and even when it nudges your comfort zone, you keep going because the flavor is just that good.
Both dishes were rich, creamy, and deeply seasoned without tasting heavy. The naan came out hot and fresh with that perfect soft-yet-slightly-charred texture. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, balancing everything beautifully. I added a side of raita, which cooled the spice just enough to keep everything in harmony.
And I have to mention the chai — served hot and comforting, the perfect way to round out the meal.
Service
Our server, Jose, was a standout. He was genuinely kind, attentive without hovering, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu. Every question we had was answered confidently, and he made us feel welcomed rather than processed. If you visit, I absolutely recommend requesting him.
Final Thoughts
We went in expecting a decent lunch spot. What we experienced was something far more memorable. Between the atmosphere, the depth of flavor, and the thoughtful service, Tabla turned a simple Monday afternoon into a celebration worth remembering.
We’ll definitely be back.
Such a comfortable atmosphere & my server took time to explain the different dishes w/ various protein options. I recommend the Drums of Heaven, an amazing appetizer. For my main entree, I had the Madras w/Lamb, & of course Garlic Nan. So good! If you like food / tastes of India or Thailand, then you need to try these dishes – they are so good!
Thanks Tabla!
