Used to go to Cafe Rio in Ashburn, but since it closed I’ve been coming to the Herndon location. Honestly, the Herndon Cafe Rio is much better great service and better food quality. I’ve been to other Cafe Rio locations before and didn’t have good experiences with either service or how the food was prepared.

My family and I had a great experience at Cafe Rio in Herndon! I recently tried to use a bonus code, but the system accidentally overcharged me. Fortunately, Felipe and the rest of the staff immediately acknowledged the issue and took the time to make it right. They were professional, understanding, and genuinely cared about fixing the situation. They even provided a gift card for the inconvenience, which I appreciated.
I used to be a regular at the Ashburn, VA location, and since it closed down. I’ll definitely be visiting the Herndon location more often.

Great place in Herndon, Virginia with fresh tasting food and friendly customer service. It’s Chipotle to the 3rd power. Authentic Mexican food in a bowl or burrito. Nachos are also amazing. I strongly recommend it. Good for the whole family.

Great food for a quick service Mexican restaurant. This is one of their nicer locations. The store is very clean and the good is good. I love the sweet pork barbacoa. Fresh tortillas are always a favorite part of the meal. The horchata and mint limeade are both good drinks to complement any of the entrees. Service is good.

This cafe Rio is in a fantastic location in Reston right on Elden street. Let me start by saying that the restroom is very clean, which to me makes all the difference. The food pleasing and fulfilling. Great customer service that took note on my kids allergies and cooked his quesadilla carefully do as to not kill him. The tortilla soup was as usual exquisite and just perfectly consumed while watching the rain pour down outside. The place is modern, clean and quiet. Personally, I would select a different music channel but it wasn’t obnoxious.

Yesterday I ordered through Uber Eats, it’s my first time ordering from this location. To start with, the burrito wasn’t even folded correctly, so when I tried to pick it up with my hands it completely fell apart (I should have ordered a bowl). Also, the order was missing ingredients. Very bad experience. I won’t order again!

High quality fresh ingredients make for great food. The usual tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tostadas and enchiladas done well. Fresh tortillas made in front of you for your order. Beef, sweet pork barbacoa, and chicken with your choice of adders. They also have a few more interesting drinks besides thecysual sodas. Great staff too. They’re doing it right.
