Light on the Sugar in Winter Park is a great stop if you’re looking for a sweet treat without a huge menu to sort through. They offer a small selection of gluten-free cookies; each one tastes thoughtfully made, fresh, and genuinely delicious. The flavors are well-balanced; sweet, but not overwhelming; and the texture is exactly what you want in a cookie.
If you need gluten-free options and prefer quality over quantity, this place is worth a visit.

Stopped by this bakery and tried their Dubai chocolate style puff pastry ($5). The pastry was covered in chocolate and topped with pistachios, with a pistachio cream filling inside. At first, I thought it might be too sweet, but I was wrong. The cream filling had a smooth, soft texture and tasted amazing. On the side, I ordered the matcha milk tea ($5.50). The sweetness was spot on, but it was a little too milky for my taste, so I would give it a 4/5.
The inside of the place was very cute, with about four or five booths where you can either dine in or bring your laptop to study. The service was quick and friendly. The girl who served the food and drink was calm and attentive, which made the visit even better. Overall, it was a really nice experience and worth checking out if you are in the area.

We went on a Sunday at 6pm and there were few people. It’s a small and cute place with seating both inside and outside, suitable for small groups (3–4 people). The tables are small but charming, and all the treats looked delicious.
What we ordered:
My husband and I tried a slice of the Tiramisu Crepe Cake. It was great—soft and fresh—but I must admit it wasn’t as sweet as I had hoped. After checking out their website, I understood that this bakery focuses on lighter sweetness, so I can’t really complain haha.

Very friendly! You order at the counter and pick up your food when it’s ready.
Parking:
There’s plenty of parking available, which is always a plus.
Final Thoughts:
Even though I was craving something a bit sweeter, I still think it’s a great spot for sweet treats. I’d definitely come back!

The cream puffs are perfect and the Oreo latte was dangerously tasty. Good for grab and go or to sit with a friend. The tables are small, not enough room to work on a laptop comfortably.

I got the Viet Shaken Coffee and Chocolate croissant. If you want a “regular” cup of drip coffee, like my boyfriend did, you’ll have to order an Americano instead. Boyfriend didn’t like the Americano when we visited this time, but he really likes the specialty beverages that Light on the Sugar is known for, like the tiramisu latte and the pistachio latte. We shared the warmed-up chocolate croissant, which was pretty good. The staff are friendly, if not a little quiet, and I admired that the barista was very accurate in her description of the sweetness of the Vietnamese coffee—she told me tends to err on the bitter side, and recommended ordering it “half sweet” if I wanted to subdue the bitter taste. I’m glad I took her suggestion; the coffee was perfectly sweetened for me. This is a good casual spot for drinks and pastries, although the location isn’t the friendliest, so I prefer to bring the treats home to enjoy them.

Disagreeing with the prior review. I’ve also had the Dalgona latte and it’s exactly what you would expect if you’ve ever tried making Dalgona at home. It’s very good.
Pastries are just stellar. Beautiful to see with the eyes and so full of flavor. I like the unique aspect of things I have never tried.
I took a leap at finally trying Dubai chocolate. Their cream puff was awesome! The Ube puff we shared was also one of my favorite choices. I’ve never tried Ube and I enjoyed it here for a first time.
We shared several pastries. Zero complaints.
Cute spot, not a lot of seating but always quiet when you go in. I’ve been served by two different employees and both were friendly and helpful with my questions.
People feel entitled to a nice greeting or “enjoy”, “welcome in”. I don’t need it. As an introvert, I don’t mind realizing there are less outgoing employees at times. We can’t always be our best at work.
For myself I can’t speak to service others complain about. I’ve been there twice. Both times were a pleasant experience and I recommended it to my family.

Light on the Sugar is a amazing smaller chain that can satisfy all your coffee, tea, specialty crafted drinks, savory pastries, and most addicting of all, sweet but not too sweet treats!
Everything from tarts, crepes, and croissants can be found here. Every location I have been to has always served me well and I can definitely recommend. The pistachio chocolate tart is one of my favorites and go-to’s but you litteraly can’t go wrong with anything here.

Absolutely amazing I was having a rough time with my Uber eats order my first driver stole my item and uber couldn’t do anything but the lovely workers saved the day and made sure I got a new pastry sent to me and even called to make sure I received it and the pastry was absolutely amazing visually and taste I would highly recommend
