I go here a couple times a month. I always want something that is not on the menu. They don’t refuse my business. They make the meal for me and just charge for an upgrade. Here pictured is fully loaded nacos with steak and shrimp.

We decided on this for authentic Mexican food. The rating of 4.2 was great to see. My rating probably brings that down! The service was not friendly, the food was barely heated, and to believe it’s authentic is crazy!
Maybe it’s common to not get refills without asking for them here, but we were the only table and my cup stayed dry. The food was not the best even though the presentation was perfect.
Then, when other tables came in, appeared to be of Hispanic culture, I saw a smile and good customer service given to them.
We won’t be back.

As popular a Mexican Restaurants are, I am not a fan……..But this one really is Great. Not sure what all the differences are, but the quality of Mexican food is much better than what I have experienced anywhere in the Lowcountry I can’t wait to bring my wife by here.

Needs better description of food items on the menu. Helpful wait staff to answer questions about the menu items. No refill for tap water. Maybe a pitcher of water on the table would be nice. Check out by the door, no bill at the table to look over.

Very delicious authentic Mexican food! The Service we had was 100%. The lady who took our order was very friendly and helpful. I recommend going! Food wasn’t too expensive, we got 3 tacos $2.99 a peace a torta and enchiladas verde with chicken that also comes with a side of beans and rice with a side salad. We also got two drink a sweet tea and horchata which were pretty big, all for a decent price. Food also didn’t take long and arrived at our table super fast.

I’m Mexican, from California & lived in Nevada for a while. But Mixteca in South Carolina is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The decor is very nice too I love the designs on the chairs and I love the Mexican style plates & cups. They serve you so much food & it’s delicious so it’s well worth the prices and the service was amazing. The jalapeño we received with our molcatjete was so spicy and I loved it so much!! Spiciest pepper ive had too , I love spice so I was so happy and thankful for the best & strong pepper. We’ll be coming back again 🙂 thank you!

Chips and salsa are NOT complimentary, $3.99 is the price for hard burnt chips and VERY salty salsa. If you decide to have a margarita be aware you will be brought a glass a little over half full and when you ask about it your waitress will ask you want more ice in your glass. I will not be returning and if you are smart take my advice and save your money and good mood.

I have been here multiple times and have usually enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, this last visit was very disappointing because of the service. The waitress with curly hair had a negative attitude and did not provide good customer service. She seemed bothered and uninterested, which is not what I’ve experienced here before.
