I wanted to love this place so badly. It’s hard finding Puerto Rican food that isn’t in Reading or that I have to make myself.
But I noticed a few things with the food that could be better.
I was given mostly white rice (yellow rice had run out), little to no beans on my plate. The food was also put in the lid portion of the takeaway box (lid is shallower than the bottom and has vent holes that can be popped out), not sure if this was done on purpose. The pernil was very peppery but I didn’t taste much of anything else (it ended up tasting like peppered turkey rather than pernil). Beans were also very salty. The empanada was great, very crispy with just the right amount of seasoning.
I am unsure if it was an off day. But my meal all together was $26 with $6 being for the empanada alone. I wish the best for this place and their success. My experience wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst either. I think it must have been an off day. And I’d be willing to try it again another time.

This place is absolutely bangin, came in for the first time today and had a top notch experience. Met the owner Danny and I can tell he is passionate about what he does
Cuban empanada blew my mind, same with the beef one. I grabbed the roasted chicken platter w/ rice & beans and loved it. Danny gave me a sample of his pork chop while I was waiting and it may have been the best I’ve ever had. Definitely getting that next time. I’ll be back soon, appreciate you Danny!

I absolutely loved the food and I would have loved to come more often but unfortunately I won’t due to being charged $19 for a plate of chicken and rice and wanting to add beans, usually place like this come with beans Where I live not so far away, you get a huge plate with enough rice, meat and beans and a drink for $14 max the price was ridiculous and the fact that I got more potatoes and carrots than meat got me really upset. It was definitely not worth the $19 I paid. I wish you guys success but you should look into that. That’s not OK.

I stopped in here during the car show. I tried a few different varieties of empanadas and they were all excellent. They were completely filled with meat and cheese unlike most places that hardly put anything in them. Service was great as well.

They make very delicious Puerto Rican style empanadas! They were really close to the ones I ate as a kid in Philly. I also had the pork and rice platter, which was good, I just wish the rice had some more beans in it. The staff were extremely friendly and nice. The price was more than reasonable. Once we placed our order it, it didn’t take too long for it to be ready. Would recommend this place when you’re in the mood for some PR food!
