New location so everything about the building is new and up to date. The counter help is the typical crew found in a fast food restaurant now. Nobody wants to help you and they ignore you until the one person on the shift who’s allowed to run the register decides they can’t find anything else to do and they come to the front and take your order. That said, once placed my order was filled in record time for a Zaxby’s. This location clearly is focused on to go orders and only has about six tables. I prefer a different setting and will probably use one of their other locations around Valdosta in the future.

Zaxby’s (New Location) – Impressive Upgrade!
I’m not sure what happened to Zaxby’s, but whoever made the decision to remodel or build new locations—kudos! This was a great and smart move. The new building looks beautiful inside. It’s not huge, but it’s definitely functional and inviting.
The employees were well-dressed and working the drive-thru with efficiency, much like Chick-fil-A. The food was hot and fresh, though I was a little disappointed with the fries—they could have been crispier, and the portion was on the smaller side.
The bathroom was clean and well-designed—I was especially glad to see that a wheelchair can fit comfortably. Parking was no issue, and the location is fantastic! We were able to walk from VSU, which is super convenient.
The service was great, and I truly hope the employees keep up their positive attitudes—unlike some other locations where service can be hit or miss. Overall, a fantastic upgrade for Zaxby’s!

Zaxby’s on Ashley Street absolutely blew me away! This wasn’t just the best Zaxby’s I’ve been to—it was hands down the best fast food experience I’ve had in ages. From placing my order to getting my food took just 10 minutes (I timed it because I didn’t believe it myself). The girls at the window were so sweet and professional that if I had another daughter, I might just name her after them. And get this—the order was perfectly correct… which hasn’t happened at a Zaxby’s in I don’t even know how long! The fact that this place only has a 3.4 on Google is an absolute crime. This team has redefined the chicken experience for me, and I’d gladly drive clear across town just to eat here again.

I’ll start this off by saying, all of the zaxbys locations in Valdosta have drive thrus that take forever. But this location in particular will tell you they’ll bring your food out if it’s not ready at the drive thru and then 30-45 minutes later, you’re sitting there wondering if they forgot about you. You then go in and find your order in the pickup area and it’s only still slightly warm with condensation around the plate. I truly wondered how long it had been sitting there but I was so upset and just grabbed it and left for my own sanity. I hate it because zaxbys has pretty tasty food but the customer service and structure could use an overhaul and care. I try to give grace because I understand a lot of times, they are really young kids/ppl. Maybe it’s management. I don’t know.

I did a mobile order for egg rolls and had to wait over 10 minutes. After sitting in drive thru this entire time a staff member finally acknowledged I was there and when I told her my name and order she grabbed it from the counter. Apparently it had been there the entire time. Their lack of service leaves more to be desired

I love Zaxbys, but my first visit to this Zaxbys was not the best. I was so thirsty, it was very warm. I ordered a salad and an unsweetened tea. I didnt taste the tea until I drive away. It was SWEET tea… even though the label on the cup c learly said, “Unsweet tea”. I’m diabetic, so I had to throw it out. A waste of $4. Go home, drink water. Also no straws for the drinks, no fork for the salad, no napkins. I did ask for a different dressing and they got that right. Maybe it was just a bad night.

I went thru the drive thru and instead of the girl having the suv in front of me pull up into a parking space to wait for an order she had them pull up just enough to block me from going around them I waited 10 minutes even though I already had my food!!! Not good customer service at all and she would not even ask them to pull up!!! Will not go back!!!

Server was amazing took the order accurately and was patient with trying to figure out 4 kids’ orders. Cooks did great, too. The food was hot and fresh. Had 5 meals out within a couple of minutes. Clean restaurant inside and out.

I just want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate the great customer service and friendly faces. The team here remembers me from previous visits, which makes the experience even better. I work around the corner, so this has become my new go-to spot. I understand that sometimes the wait can be longer, and other times it’s quick—it’s all part of working out the kinks. Slow slow service. Employees are running over each other but getting nowhere. Order on the app and wait 15 minutes longer…multiple tests with the app. They must put app orders off to last.
