First time here and it is in the running to be my new favorite Indian restaurant in the Kansas City area.

Walking in here it had a familiarity of being in any restaurant serving American Classics and I was okay with it. Not over done like other places, letting their food, not the decor do the talking.

There was more than enough food to take home when we added an appetizer and naan bread.

Delicious food for the whole family. We just stopped here on the way home from the airport. It was our first time. We had 8 of us parents and 6 kids. We had chicken korma, tikka masala, butter, coconut, saag, and tandoori grill with garlic naan.
It was awesome!!!!
We will be back. The kids devoured it. We loved it. Very reasonable prices as well.

I was in the mood for Indian and this place was close.
The menu was dirty so that was a slight turn off at first but the butter masala was very tasty. I asked for medium heat and it was perfect. I could not eat it all and took it to my hotel for later.
They had some good beer options so I went with the Taj Mahal beer.
I would come back again if I was in the area.

Best Indian food in the northland! We tried Sahara today and will be back again. Very quick and attentive service. Food was delicious. We had the garlic naan, which had a nice crunchy bottom and fluffy flavorful top. We got the medium heat for both dishes and it was a perfect level of heat. The food was still enjoyable with a lasting heat after each bite. The butter masala was creamy and the tikka masala was bursting with flavor.

Tried veggie samosa for 1st time. Spicy mash potatoes in wheat shell. Stuffing had Really good flavor with just right amount of spice. Shell was just ok.

I was visiting Kansas city on a business trip and decided to try this Indian restaurant for a takeout order. I ordered butter chicken and naan, and to my pleasant surprise, they included a complimentary plate of rice with my takeout.

While I waited for my order, the lady at the counter offered me a delicious cup of tea, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was genuinely impressed by their warmth and hospitality.

The food was incredibly flavorful, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, great-tasting Punjabi style cuisine. This was my second visit to this restaurant. I will prefer to visit this restaurant during my next trip for sure.

I love this place and ordered online at 215pm it accepted my order then I go to pick it up and there’s a sign on the door that says they are closed from 230-430! Now I have no food and have to come back later I guess! Absolutely insane to allow an online order to do through during a time they arnt open!

Sahara for lunch was really good. The garlic and regular naan bread accompanied nicely with my coconut curry with chicken. I have left over. Would recommend if craving Indian food and on the north side of the metro

We had a great experience at Sahara Fine Indian Cuisine! The Gobi Manchurian was perfectly crispy and flavorful, the Paneer was rich and creamy, and the Paneer Naan was soft and delicious. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Great service and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

It was a busy, packed Friday night but we only waited about 10 minutes before we were seated. The restaurant is cozy, offering both tables and booths.

The only issue that arose was that my water glass smelled strange and tasted weird, too. I drank some of my fiancee’s which was fine so I’m not sure what it was but we agreed mine was off. Otherwise, we felt that the service was good, their was a calm atmosphere, and the food was yummy

To start our dinner, we had vegetable samosas that I easily could’ve eaten piles of, they were that good.

Spice levels offered: mild, mild+, medium, medium +, and hot (this may not be 100% correct but you get the idea).

For my entree, I had Saag Paneer with mild spice. It was good but it would have been better if I’d chosen a spicier option (so that’s not their fault.) My fiancee had butter chicken that was medium+ spice and it was perfect. The garlic Naan and side of rice tied everything in well and we were very satisfied by the end of our meal.

Overall, Sahara is worth checking out!
