Owner is very friendly and the enviroment felt very unique, the Mexican food is definitely not Mexican, no flavor, almost like grandma trying to make mexican food in the 1940s, tacobell is a better choice, thinking maybe it was just a off day for the place, only open 3-4 hrs a day, odd.

Staff made our group feel like a part of the family, I ordered the tamales as I haven’t had any in far too long and they were legitimately the best I’ve ever had. You will have a good time here and enjoy your food if you like authentic Mexican food. The restaurant itself is also just so entertaining to be in, there is so much to look at and start conversation over.

I love everything about this restaurant; the service is great, the owner is sweet and interacts with the kids, plus they got delicious margaritas that pairs so well with the food. What more could one ask for?
This place has a very warm vibe, its very well visited by the community, rightfully so!

Such a cozy and yummy local spot!! The owner Jeff is so kind and committed to his restaurant. He was courteous and very interactive with our little one, making a point to try and make him giggle. If you want a good spot to eat at with a family feel, check it out ASAP. Also get the golden margarita, you’ll thank me later.

Walk-in: Didn’t feel very welcoming upon entering. When the person behind the counter addressed us she pointed to an area, then switched up and said that someone would assist us with the seating. Then that person just pointed to a spot. When our food assistant for the evening finally came she seemed a bit nervous or uncomfortable I didn’t know which one it was but I just wanted something to eat. We placed our order for both spirits and meals and when everything arrived we were good. The drinks were ok, nothing fancy. The food assistant never checked in once to see if we needed anything else after she sat our meals down. The next time we saw her was when we caught her asking for the bill. She got really chatty once the bill was paid. But… WHATEVER.
Food: The food was delicious! For myself, if I chose to patronize the establishment again, it will be a pickup order if it’s available.
Overall: The restaurant looks like they are remodeling or reworking some things because they had a lot of dark spots in the building. Try it out for yourself, your experience may be WAY better than mines. (I hope it is )

This is a great place to just look at all the amazing art and Day of the Dead trinkets but then, on top of that you get a really great meal too? This place has it all. We’ve been searching for a good Mexican restaurant and ended up finding a great one. Owner/manager was very warm and friendly. He came over to the table to chit chat and told us about they got some of the sculptures and art and it was really cool to hear. I had the combo meal (tostada, taco, burrito, enchilada, etc) and everything was covered in cheese and sauce and delicious! My wife had the chimichanga, beans and rice and said it was very good. Cocktails were strong and the portions huge. Chips and salsa were on point and the whole experience was fantastic. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We will be back (if only for the Street Fighter II arcade cabinet in the entrance). Lol

Sierra station came highly recommended by my brother in laws family for a great Mexican spot near Gross Pointe so we decided to give it a try for our last night in town!
First of all I will say the vibe of the restaurant feels very authentic! I love the decor that they have and the colorful dining tables and chairs throughout the place. Only thing missing was a live mariachi band! I definitely had high expectations from when we first arrived.
The waitress was good, she came to get our order pretty quickly after being seated. Mostly everyone ordered an alcoholic drink. Of course my go to was a strawberry margarita. From what I remember it was decent, nothing special but margaritas are pretty basic drinks. I think it was a bit watered down in all honesty.
My husband and I shared the combination dinner which includes a flour taco, cheese enchilada, tostada and beef burrito. With rice and beans on the side. We enjoyed everything in the plate, the enchilada and taco were my top picks from the selection. Realistically the food tasted like anything I could get here in SoCal though. I felt like the flavor was a bit lacking. Not knocking them at all but I did expect it to be a bit better.
4 stars because their food was good and service wasn’t bad! Just wish it was more authentic.
