We cook with butter, tallow, lard and olive oil. No seed oils. Most items are cooked in house from scratch. Our beef is never frozen and fresh. American food, know for smash burgers of all sizes. Great waffles, benedicts, omelets, rancheros. Seasonal menu and Supper options. Beer, wine, margaritas and mimosas.

Huckleberry’s is a smaller diner offering breakfast and lunch choices throughout their service hours. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Our food was well-made and absolutely delicious!! Will be coming back many times in the future.

On Friday November 21 I stopped at Huckleberry’s for breakfast. Ordered biscuits with SAUSAGE gravy. When my order arrived it was all gravy and very little SAUSAGE. You had to fish through the gravy to find it . I called the waitress over to question it. She went to a woman (the owner) who gave me a go to hell look. The waitress took my order to the kitchen where the owner ladled on more gravy that had little to no SAUSAGE in it. I reluctantly ate it, not really great considering the lack of SAUSAGE. When the waitress brought the check she quietly said I did not have to tip. It wasn’t her fault, I left her a tip and told here because of the attitude of the owner I would never be back. That owner does not give a damn about taking care of her customers!

When we came in, there were a lot of open two person tables but none for four people. The server asked if we would sit on the patio. She seated us but did not give us any menus, so I went in and grabbed some from the bar area. It took 15+ minutes before someone came to take our order. When the server came, we asked if we could be moved inside because the flies were out of control. The server said she would move some tables but never did and kept us outside for the meal. We had to ask for drink refills. Food portions did not match the pricing. Food quality was similar to Perkins…edible but nothing special. My fries were seriously overcooked. We had to seek out our server in order to pay and ask for a box for the kid’s food.

Waited for 30 min and didn’t get to order or anything to drink before leaving. Noticed 5 sets of other people waiting on food. Sat at a dirty table for 15 min before anything was gotten off. They were overwhelmed and understaffed. Would like to retry when they aren’t so busy.

We dined there once, never again. The chopped ground beef steak was teeny-tiny and the meal was supposed to come with a lettuce salad which we had to point it out on the menu when it didn’t come. Chopped steak had a bland flavor. The service counter was still incomplete and very tacky looking. Then when we went to pay the waitress had no way to make change for cash. It just was not a good experience at all.

Best breakfast in 100 miles! Our group has been pheasant hunting near Winner for 30 years. In mid-October 2023, we had breakfast three times and lunch once at Huckleberry’s. The menu is diverse and the waffles and pancakes are amazing!

I’ve been going to Winner for 30 years and Huckleberry’s has the best breakfast I’ve ever had in this town! Pancakes and waffles are fantastic, omelettes are delicious and anything with the green chile is amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
