One of my absolute favorite coffee shops. The staff is always friendly. Great music, and comfortable sitting. If you love oatmeal the blueberry walnut is yummy. Not to mention the awesome coffee selections

I am an espresso drinker. I found the espresso at overflow quite good. Nice balance. Good flavor with a modest hint of citrus and sweet. Nicely done overflow

I also purchased a breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese. The bun made that sandwich with it’s texture and flavor

Overflow Coffee is a great little spot in the South Loop with a nice, inviting ambiance. The vibe is calm and welcoming—perfect for catching up on work, reading, or just relaxing with a cup of coffee.

Their coffee is solid and well-prepared, and they offer a small selection of sandwiches that make for a nice light bite. It’s not a huge menu, but what they have is done well.

Overall, a cozy and dependable cafe in the neighborhood. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Delicious quiche, beautiful cortado, and exceptional service. I took a gluten free zucchini bread to go and thrilled it had a nice texture and didn’t fall apart.

I brought my dog and stayed for HOURS! Tons of space, super friendly baristas (shoutout to Rae!), and possibly the best pumpkin chai I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here after a fitness class. Nice chill vibes and great service. Iced coffee with cream and the Rosemary’s Baby syrup was delicious. The classic breakfast sandwich was yummy and fresh. Every thing you want in a chill spot to read/work or relax.

The interior here is wonderful, and I enjoy their specialty coffees but the only things I don’t like are the slow service and music is playing too loud. Typically only one or two people working, responsible for taking orders, making the drinks, and clean up – service can be somewhat slower compared to other places nearby. It can get crowded during weekdays and weekends with people working. I would recommend the Vee Jay or Overflow lattes. All prices are very reasonable but don’t expect exceptional food here. It’s perfect for a quick snack or bite to eat.

I live a block from Overflow and enjoy the coffee. It has a cool atmosphere as well for working or meeting friends. However, they offer absolutely nothing that is gluten-free. Mysteriously, every time I ask if they have anything gf, the reaponse is “not right now, we usually do.” Or something along thise lines. I have been going for years and have never managed to come in when there is even one gf morsel on offer. As a result, the only thing I can do is stop in for coffee to go and keep it moving. I find even doing that increasingly bothersome, as I do not like to patronize places where I cannot eat. Would love to see some inclusivity and improvements!
