The Cuban sandwich was mid. The meat in the chivito sandwich was very tough. Their salmon dish was the best and I would actually recommend that, it came on a bed of rice with a sauce that reminded me of sort of a lobster bisque. The chicharon was very fatty and would not recommend.

I’m a frequent patron at the Cibus Dos location in Stratford. I had never visited the Fairfield location until a recent random Saturday night.

I stopped in without a reservation, dinner for 2. Bar was fully open, few tables available. I’d recommend making reservations during warmer weather. I can see this place packed during Spring, Summer seasons.

We were greeted promptly, warmly, and seated quickly.

Service was excellent all around from the front end to the back end.

Food was just as good as the Stratford location. I was afraid the Fairfield location would not live up to the original Stratford location.

I ordered the sopa de lentajas (lentil soup) and enselada de aguacate (avocado salad). My friend ordered the chicken tomorrow. We both ordered a side of sweet plantains. The food came out in a timely manner, everything was super fresh and delicious (chef’s kiss) .

I’ll definitely be back to try the bar and maybe some other dishes.

Great menu with great appetizers. The main meals are delicious too. They have a bar you could sit at and drink if that’s your thing. We did enjoy some of their sangria. It was delicious. Definitely check it out if you’re into some Latin fusion.
I would suggest getting a reservation cuz it can fill up.

This restaurant has been open in my town a couple of years but we had not gone as the food is outside most of my families comfort zone. We went tonight and the food is excellent and the service was great. As a guy who spent a lot of time in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic for work they had a lot of my favorites. We had Ceviche the was excellent and our mains of beef and pork with sides such as sweet plantains were terrific. Highly recommend and I will be going back.

Another 3.5. Atmosphere was nice and menu varied and appealing but nothing was outstanding or memorable. Mofungo with oxtail had delicious sauce but the oxtail was chewy. Ensalada de la casa looked great when it was served but the dressing, served on the side, didn’t have much flavor other than oil. Arepas were Aguacate Relleno was underwhelming. Avocado was bland, should have been salted, but shrimp was tasty. Cocktails were very good especially pisco sour.

I fell in love with the atmosphere, beautifully decorated and very clean. Great variety of menu choices. Presentation of the food was 10/10. Overall taste of the entrees were very good, our only complaint was both of our steaks were prepared extra well when we asked for medium. I didn’t mind, but my fiancé got the lobster & steak, which the price isn’t listed on the menu which came out to $60, so she was a little upset it wasn’t prepared how she asked. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be returning.

We were really excited to try this spot since we have visited their other location and have been really pleased with their offerings. The menu is essentially the same menu as their other location, I thought they would have some different offerings. I ordered the Pionono which was actually very good. For my entree I ended up with the Cubano which was my second choice, since the filet mignon was not available. My girlfriend ordered the morrongo with oxtails which she liked. Although the restaurant is nicely decorated the chairs were very uncomfortable. The service was a bit slow and the uncomfortable chairs made it seem longer. I wish them well but will most likely visit their other location the next time.

Delicious food and drinks. Definitely worth a try. We had the llapingachos, which were cheesy and amazing. The mojitos were also great and in the patio, perfect to enjoy the last days of summer.

Coming from Greenwich it was my first time there I went with my sister we ordered beef empanadas, the brazen oxtail which was very salty with a gingerale that had a bad fountain taste, and for dessert the churos with vanilla ice cream worst churos I ever had it had no taste like churos only like dry dough the only thing I liked out my meal was the beef empanada’s and the vanilla ice cream. The waitress was ok I wouldn’t say she gave great service. My sister and I payed for our meal separately I gave her my card and she charged it $36 I left her the tip on the table when I left I checked my card balance and the waitress over charged my card by $7 she gave herself a tip after I had already left her a tip on the table she charged my card without my authorization I was pissed I will never go back there.
