Food was very flavorful and great portion size!

Chicken salad was extremely good! Vegetables tasted super fresh and seasoning on the chicken was top notch.

Carne asada, there was enough meat in it to share with two more people, once again they have really good portions!

Definitely a great spot to stop by either if you’re local or just passing by.

We LOVED Chuy’s, we plan to return on a regular basis. The customer service was outstanding, we were warmly welcomed in and served right away. The food is delicious, perfectly prepared, and the portions are generous. The environment is comfortable, and very clean. We highly recommend this place and look forward to returning with friends and family.

Good food, good portions and reasonable prices. Shared the tasty shrimp ceviche with our chips (comes as a tostada). They charge for chips and salsa but that seems to be the trend now. Platillos plate had generous portion of shrimp and thin steak and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. Wife liked the chili rellenos (a la carte < $6!) and we both loved the agave wine served like a margarita but different. Look for their specials. Friday special was super burrito < $10! Atmosphere is dark and cozy.

My family loves to eat at Chuy’s. It is the Standard everybody else is compared to, even the taco stands of L.A. do not really compare with authenticity of Mexican flavors you will experience at Chuy’s. The burritos (a.k.a. “Tacos”, mi Madre’ corrects me.) are unique and just taste better. Can’t explain why. They are just better. Chuy’s does Mexican food the way we like. Salsa and Chips are great too. I have included a pic of the salsa bar available to patrons. My wife and I just shared Nachos, Carnitas, Beer and Horchata, $23 and Yummy.

Eh, it’s ok. Had a cool little outdoor patio.

Maybe i’m spoiled living in the bay area where there is so much really good Mexican cuisine but i was a little disappointed.

First off, it was kind of pricey. It was ~75.00 for a family of 4 and my youngest usually splits a plate with mama bear.

Secondly, I ordered a 3 taco plate and thankfully they put salsa on my tacos because the Al Pastor was hard. They beans and rice were just ok too, a little on the bland side.

Luckily I had a michelada to wash it all down lol.

In closing, I’m sure this place is a big hit with the locals and the location and outdoor patio is great but I just don’t see me coming back.

One thing that was kind of funny was one of the staffers didn’t know what Ketchup was haha.

If you’re looking for great homestyle Mexican food plates, you will find it at Chuy’s in the town of Winters, CA!! Amazing portions, and very generous on their chips and salsa! You
will definitely need your appetite for this place. Everything is served hot! If you follow me on my reviews, I like my food hot, temp wise! Good value for what you get! From chopped up steaks with veg or onions, birria or Chile verde and pork! We will be back!

Chuy’s is hands-down one of the best places to enjoy fresh, flavorful Tex-Mex! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fun, lively, and welcoming. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to make you feel right at home.

The food is absolutely delicious—everything tastes homemade, from the warm tortillas to the amazing sauces and dips (the creamy jalapeño is a must-try!). Portions are generous, and you always leave full and happy, sometimes with leftovers for the next day. Their fajitas, burritos, and enchiladas are packed with flavor, and the margaritas are perfectly refreshing.

What I love most about Chuy’s is the consistency and value. You get great food, big portions, and excellent service without breaking the bank. It’s the kind of place you look forward to going back to again and again.

First Timer…Hopefully to return soon to try more …
Ordered the Special…
Felt the prawns and beef were over-cooked loosing their natural flavors.
Split one order and still had leftovers!

A nice little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Their fajitas plates are great and you can’t go wrong with the soft tacos and quesabirrias with plenty of salsas and like slices at the salsa bar to choose from. The Churros with ice cream is a great dessert to share for something sweet.
