We are a family restaurant that serves comfort food with daily plate specials Tuesday-Friday. Our coolers offer premade sandwiches and sides along with casseroles you can take home and bake! Additionally, we offer a wide variety of desserts like pie, cheesecake, cookies, cinnamon rolls, soft pretzels, and so much more. Came in for our first time. Chicken and dumplings specials. I also had the chicken enchilada soup.
Let’s begin this review with first impressions: upon walking in we saw a clean dining area. Hand written chalk board menu reminds me of diners that I spent my youth in. The people working there were smiling and welcoming. The young lady at the counter was a true gem of a person. The place really doesn’t need light bulbs, her and the others smiles were bright and full.
Next , allow me to begin with the enchilada tortilla soup. Somewhere a Hispanic family is missing their Abuella ( grandmother in Spanish)!
It was simply hands down perfection in a paper cup. It took the chill damp air and put in time out.
Now our salads: crisp, clean, fresh produce is a must have in any restaurant. Locally sourced? I don’t know but my guess is yes. Now their house dressing made in the kitchen ( maybe Abuella, does it too?), is creamy, with a hint of a sweet Dijon mustard base, it enhances, not cover up, the vegetables natural taste. Nor do they over pour it. That salad was as good as it can get.
Our main course was piping hot and incredible. The chicken was moist, the dumplings were not under or over cooked. If you ever had dumplings under or over cooked you know how rubbery they get. They were seasoned well enough although I did add a little salt and pepper.
There is nothing to say here that is negative. Anybody who hasn’t been here needs to come on in. You’ll be fed, welcomed and appreciated.

We had the chicken and dumplings, and it was delicious. Recommend especially if short on time as a large amount of the menu already made and prepackaged in refrigerator/freezers. They have a special everyday that is made fresh.
