Ok Milwaukee. This place needs to get noticed.

You like Thai, Vietnamise, Indian, & fried chicken? Apparently Melasian food is it! Get ready for stuffed bread, Dahl with hearty fall flavors, spicy sauces and more. I HIGHLY recommend the Mee Goreng Biasa Fried noodles, the chicken Dosa, and the Roti Pisang (stuffed bread with bananas).

Honestly I can’t remember the last time I had a meal this good and comforting. Also awesome service from the owner! Was fantastic! Food can bespicy, so navigate carefully if you bring kiddos and ask for recommendations.

Also we dove into the food too quickly so the photos don’t do it justice.

If you want an adventure SURE to hit, tonight’s the night to Taste Amir’s Roti!

Food was so tasty! Rotis are made fresh to order and there’s a variety of dishes to pick from! If you like Malaysian or south East Asian food, this is a must try! Will definitely be back.

Unpretentious, affordable, and delightful home cooked authentic food here. This is the kind of place that you can initially tell just by the clientele that it’s going to be good — so many ethnicities, dialects spoken, and family friendly. I went on a Thursday late lunch and was served quickly. Sunday lunch (with Burmese mohinga available, though not sure if it’s constant) was a bit busier but nonetheless fast. It didn’t disappoint, it was so delicious! Amir provides service with a smile. Excited to return.

Food was delicious! The owner was very friendly, kind and his passion for cooking made the experience great. Will be back for more next time to try all the different types of roti he makes.

I’ve been going here since the truck open 2 years ago and my experience has been amazing but just few months ago the old owner sold his business to new guys. Every-time I come now the menu is always limited, for example, Nasi Lemak is their top-selling dish, yet it’s ridiculously inconsistent. Some days they have it, and other days they can’t even be bothered to make it! Also the truck sells roti chanai , and their daal sauce is always inconsistent too where some days it’s lacking flavors and other day it hits the spot. Over all this place is hit or miss depends on who’s working.

Go for the Roti! The roti, murtabak and accompanying dhal are all fantastic. The name of the restaurant is a command that should be followed: go taste Amir’s roti!

Want to taste a little slice of heaven?? Look no further— I stumbled upon this food truck on the way back from a road trip adventure, and I could not be happier. Amazing friendly service, and it was incredible to watch the rotis being made right in front of me! Fried up on the griddle and then “fluffed” a bit right at the end, he said his hands got quite hot and I can only imagine. The daal on the side was spicy and incredibly flavorful, perfect for dipping, and I can’t imagine a better deal for $4!! Two rotis and the daal was just the right amount of food for me.

If I lived closer I would absolutely visit on a regular basis. Hopefully I get a chance to stop back in again. Thank you! ☺️

People once went to the restaurant and then experience what they’ve experienced. The food is very expensive, so people don’t go there. You know, at Fort Wayne, the Nawarat restaurant has great food and fair prices.
Everybody in our community wanted to support them but the price of food is very very ridiculous, who can go every week?!? Once a month here residents don’t go there in Amir restaurant, if you try to do business, don’t focus on money, and make the prices fair,
Go invest in Fort Wayne NAWARAT restaurant!!!

Found this gem while I was in Milwaukee during 4th of July at Wilson Park, and I can honestly say it’s absolutely delicious! Super authentic south Asian Burmese style food. The biryani is soooo good! Came back 2 days in a row! Highly recommend.
