This is our second visit. The first experience was positive. The only drawback was a minor wait.This time around, the wait was unusually prolonged. My husband’s pozole was satisfactory, according to him, but I was disappointed with my mole. The rice was served cold, and the chicken appeared to have been boiled, with the sauce poured over it. Unfortunately, the sauce was overwhelmingly spicy, which overpowered the flavors of chocolate and other typical ingredients in this dish.Although I appreciate spicy cuisine, I couldn’t finish the dish. I placed an order for tacos to go, asking for 2 grilled chicken tacos and 2 beef in separate containers, as they were intended for 2 separate people. Regrettably, they were all packaged together.Upon asking if the items could be separated, the cook, a lady, merely grabbed two containers and handled them separately with her bare hands. Furthermore, I specifically requested grilled chicken, but we ended up with boiled chicken. This experience has led me to vow never to return. I recommend that others conserve their time and money, unless they can afford to waste it. This is particularly disappointing, given that the waitress and hostess were exceptionally friendly.

The birria tacos are really good. The chicken tamales are amazing. The Torta Cubana is great if you substitute the hot dog in it for another type of meat. The pork tamales tasted alright but it was kinda dry. The atmosphere is amazing and is the real draw.

This has been our “go-to” restaurant for Mexican cuisine since they opened for business! The food is always good… great portions, awesome flavor, and prepared and cooked with pride, authenticity and delicious! The prices are reasonable and the menu selection is plentiful! I believe this is primarily operated by the family, so you’re not getting anything out on your table that is simply microwaved! That being said, be prepared for a little longer wait compared to other “commercialized” or “chain” Mexican restaurant. I promise though, you will be very pleased with your order!

The service was great. The margaritas weren’t as strong as I’m use to. The chili Verde Burrito was absolutely delicious. My sister said her pastor burrito was really good. The chicken on my nephews nachos were rather dry, like they made a big batch and it was sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. The rice and beans were very flavorful. I haven’t had rice this good since I was in Mexico. The guacamole was delicious and the Horchata was mmm mmm good lol. I will definitely come back next time I’m up here!

This place is well-staffed everytime I’ve gone, and I keep going back for the tripa!!! Never in my life have I tasted tripa frita so perfectly cooked…the texture is perfectly crisp and meaty and the flavor is good!
I recommend the tacos and gorditas. Their cheese and crema is fresh. Diablo burrito is okay. The salsas are not very spicy. The tlacoyo is tasty…different than what I had in DF (Mexico City), but very delicious and cooked fresh. Service is okay, place is clean and spacious and ambiance is calm and family-friendly.

Large portion but lack flavor. My Diablo burrito has more mushy rice than meat & didn’t find Diablo flavor. Pozole was lacking flavor but large quantity.

Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Somewhat slow service, maybe because they had a lot of takeout orders. My wife ordered two tacos, one with chicken and one with carnitas, she enjoyed them but said she has had better. I ordered a carnitas plate. Usually carnitas is shredded meat, this was large cubes of meat. I had to shred them myself to put them in the tortillas. Too small a serving of guacamole and salsa. The meat was a bit overcooked and too dry. I will say that it was a very generous portion, though. I definitely have had better carnitas. I would have given this 3 stars if the carnitas plate was the only item ordered

First timing coming here and it was a huge disappointment. The margaritas taste like straight Sprite/water down there was no tequila in there.. We even asked for extra shot of Don Julio, and that tasted worse. I ordered nachos which came out with greasy chips and barely no shredded cheese with a squirt of sour cream. Honestly, I guess for Clearlake this is supposed to be an amazing Mexican restaurant this will be the first and last time I come here. Save your money and a stomach ache

Hands down worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Ordered a chicken quesadilla that came with beef, returned and it was worse than before just fat and grisel with no flavor, like the scraps of the chicken they didn’t want to waste?. And tiny floppy disc enchiladas and it was just as bad as the quesadilla. Supposedly they have really good soups but I won’t ever go back to find out . Also we sat down for 10 min at a dirty table and nobody came up to us or even offered to clean the table. All the tables were dirty.

Told wait person and she told us that was all they had! Like oh well!
