I stopped by this store since their menu seemed so interesting. The store front was very colorful with some nice Asian decorations. The associate was friendly, helped me to put an order right away. I ordered the Nanban Tokyo Sando. The price was sort of expensive, $20 for sandwich and soda combo. But the soda was refillable.
It took them little over 5 minutes to prepare the sandwich. Visually it looked so nice. But unfortunately the taste wasn’t appealing at all to me. The chicken cutlet was sort of burnt. The bread was too thick. The sandwich had good amount of ingredients in it like cabbage slaw and drizzle of sauce.

The gentleman that took our order was super friendly! Food was fresh and arrived quickly. Lots of options that I look forward to trying, the Mongolian beef was well done. The lunch bowl size was a good value.

This was our second visit to the Garage Food Hall, and this time we decided to try Hachi Machi. Unfortunately, we left feeling underwhelmed.
The staff didn’t come across as very friendly, and for the prices, I expected better quality. I ordered the hibachi chicken with fried rice and vegetables. Most of the veggies—aside from possibly the zucchini—were barely cooked, which gave them an odd texture. The rice was just okay, and the sauce had an aftertaste I couldn’t place, so I didn’t finish it. The chicken, however, was good.
My husband ordered the orange chicken with white rice and a Coke Zero. While the orange flavor was noticeable, the chicken had no breading, which left him disappointed with the dish overall.
In the end, we spent over $30, and for what we received, it simply wasn’t worth it.
PS: To top it off, the fortune cookies were stale—which I guess was fitting, because the only “fortune” we got was knowing we wouldn’t be back.

Incredibly disappointed with the food. Only took photos of the dessert, but the textures and flavours were all wrong.
The mango sticky rice was exceptionally bad. Mango wasn’t ripe yet and the rice was solid and la king flavor… it was like a ball of dough.

10.9.25 ordered shrimp&chicken ‘hibachi’ and a tiny little milk for my toddler and paid $30 for it. Price is extremely higher than an actual hibachi restaurant but decided to try it since it was newly opened. This place is nothing but some knock off version of chinese restaurant in middle of cornfield or even worse. All of their foods including chicken, veggies, fried rice are ‘precooked’ and they reheat them up before serving. The only thing that took them nearly 30 minutes to serve my single meal was ‘shrimp’ as that you can’t really precook since its too expensive to waste away or reuse next day. Chicken is HARD as plastic (video) and cold inside, fried rice is cold and dried and smells like it was cooked 10hrs ago and kept in rice cooker all day long.
First remove the word “hibachi” if you are going to continue to just reheat pre-cooked meat or service 10hr old fried rice off rice cooker. Revisit your $20-$30 per meal price tag unless you can actually provide quality food.

Loved the crab Rangoon! Best I have ever had. All the food was “made fresh to order” so it took 8 minutes to prepare our order. I’ll take that over a 1 minute pump out of like warm food. The sauce that came with the Rangoon was delightful as well.

I’m aware that I am in Mass Ave which caters to a very Caucasian crowd but this is blandest pad Thai I’ve ever had in my life. Was closer to a basic lo mein or stir fried noodle. 🙁 veggies also bland

This food is nasty!!! I ordered the orange chicken with veggies, and I should have read the reviews before placing my order. The chicken was soggy, tasted old, and had absolutely no seasoning—how is that possible at an Asian restaurant? The veggies were just as bad: soggy, flavorless, and like they’d been reheated in a microwave.
I was so disappointed I took the tray back, gave them the food, and told them it was nasty. There’s no way I’d ever eat here again. On top of that, the prices are way too high for food that isn’t even edible. Honestly, not even an animal could eat this.
Avoid this place at all costs until they do better.
