A good friend of mine liked to Door Dash breakfast from Marvel Ranch. I don’t know if there was a difference in quality from Dashing vs eat in.

The staff are extremely helpful and polite. The food is delicious and isn’t that expensive at all. The server Shelly is amazing. She is also very kind.

If Gordon Ramsey was here at all this morning he must’ve walked out because just yikes. Something tells me he probably gave up on this place. So my friend, her boyfriend, and I showed up and it looks really nice! We tried to catch someone’s eye to see if we’re seating ourselves but we were ignored so we sat ourselves. It took awhile but eventually some dude basically threw napkins and silverware down on the table but no menus. Another maybe ten, fifteen minutes later a server comes to take our order. We didn’t have menus and didn’t even know what drinks they had. She quick handed us menus and we skimmed it but yeah no drinks listed. We ordered three waters and an orange juice. They brought us three waters and two orange juices. Whatever I drank it. We all got our waters and I like orange juice so hey I’m good with a free orange juice. It was weird though no glasses. It was plastic throw away cups for the water and styrofoam cups for the orange juice. We all ordered pancakes and waited forever. I got plain just syrup, butter, and powdered sugar. My friend’s boyfriend got bananas on his and my friend got plain just butter. Her boyfriend and I got ours right away but my friend didn’t get hers. Well they forgot my powdered sugar but maybe I didn’t ask loud enough I don’t know. They said they’d bring me some they never did. Waited for awhile again and they bring her pancakes with pecans. I flag down the waitress and they get her the right ones. Thankfully those came quick. They’re lucky she’s not allergic to nuts because that could’ve gone super bad if she was. She went and asked where the bathroom is. They ignored her and were arguing with each other about her pancakes. She finally got an answer although it was with attitude. When they took our plates they took my friend’s half full cup of water. She had briefly stepped away to look at the muffins and they just took away her water. They’re like oh she’s doesn’t need this right and put another cup in it and took it away before we could say anything! They only brought us the check when my friend stood up. To be fair she was going to go up to the counter to attempt to pay but hey at least it hurried them up. But yeah servers barely payed attention to us, didn’t ask how our food was even once. At one point my friend is literally saying how terrible this is going and how she hasn’t even been able to ask for a refill of her water within earshot of our server and our server comes over says oh you got your pancakes great! Walks away without asking us how our food is or we can say anything. Not all the menu items were even listed on the menu. Apparently they had muffins and stuff. Wasn’t listed anywhere and no one mentioned it we only knew because we just happened to see the case with them. They also didn’t even tell us what drinks they had we just guessed. The owner or manager whoever he was was talking to all his friends or regulars but ignored all the other customers. The people he likes definitely got priority. So final review. It looks nice, food wasnt bad espcially for the price. Not even $20 for all three of us. However, maybe fix up the menu, and get way better service. I guess Gordon Ramsey couldn’t even fix them!

Would not come back. Service was horrible. Took forever to get waited on, food took a decent amount of time to come out, my mini mess didn’t have any flavor, waited 10 minutes for our check and then ended up standing in line to get the check myself. Giving it 2 stars because my scrapple was cooked well done like I asked. Not enough workers.

Ordered a Rachel sandwich and home fries. The Rachel was a bit sour and the home fries were completely dry with no pepper or salt on them. I also asked for ketchup and they charged me $.53 extra. Never ordering from here again.

Been going to Marvel Ranch with my dad since I was 18. The food is excellent, the people, excellent, the prices most excellent.

They’re my favorite locally kept secret.

Barack Obama has eaten there, and thier business put one of thier waitresses through Law School.

The owner (very nice) retired, but still works in the kitchen.

It’s real food. Real ingredients. Delicious. Sometimes messy. Always affordable.

So stop on by, right on fourth and Penn St.

And if you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please. Accept Christ. He is the ultimate joy and purpose of all humanity.

God bless you.

And please. Grab some lunch and tell them Josh sent you.

Until then!

5-Star: A Perfect Start to the Day!

I can’t say enough good things about this breakfast spot! From the moment I walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right without being overbearing.

Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious. I ordered the Mini Mess, and it was cooked to perfection. The eggs were perfect and the portion size was just right. Their coffee was also top-notch—bold, fresh, and refilled regularly without even having to ask.

What really stood out was the attention to detail—from the presentation of the dishes to the thoughtful menu options that cater to a variety of dietary preferences. Whether you’re into sweet, savory, or something healthy, there’s something here for everyone.

Overall, this place checks all the boxes: great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. It’s the kind of breakfast spot you want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend!

The Mini mess breakfast is amazing. I always get it with a side of kielbasa! I love supporting this local establishment that’s been around for over 40 years. If you don’t wanna drive into the city do delivery it is worth it!

Service was pretty mediocre, seat yourself and wait until someone notices you, then it’s get your order eat pay and get out, I asked for eggs scrambled soft they definitely changed colors and wasn’t soft, the home fries were light skinned no color flavor or anything just onions, my waffle came late and it wasn’t a taste I was hoping for the best thing was the toast and kielbasa, the food was reasonable price. Also for some reason they were very excited someone was arrested it was hilarious to them.

This place has completely fell off!! I didn’t even want to give them one star. Don’t know who’s in that kitchen but my beef sausage were so burnt I couldn’t eat it, my eggs were over cooked and the home fries were dry and burned. Will NEVER order from this dump again!
