I stop by on a Tuesday morning after a doctors appointment. I don’t think they were ready for the quick 9:30 AM rush that appeared out of nowhere. It took a while to get my waffle and I think they forgot to bring my mint tea, I had to remind the cashier. Also, the table that I sat at wasn’t clean but again it appeared that they were very busy so I just took a napkin and wiped it myself.
The taste was very good. I was afraid that the waffle would be soggy, but it had a great consistency and texture, definitely Belgian style. The strawberries were fresh and not overly ripe.

Best Belgian waffles in CT! Servers were terrific and there was enough seating for our larger group. Highly recommend them for a spectacular breakfast or lunch.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars! The waffles were awesome and their tea selection was on point. Unfortunately we also ordered breakfast sandwiches and they were not at all what we ordered. Eggs were sunny side up instead of over medium, and my husband got sausage instead of bacon on his…we didn’t bother saying anything because they still tasted good, but I don’t know how the order was lost in translation.

Waffles were light fluffy and great flavor! Interesting combos created well thought of flavors and dedication to the craft. Will definitely come back.

Food was good but took 45 minutes to be served. They did forewarn us that it would be a 30 minute wait if we ordered anything other than a waffle. But while we watched, they were literally cooking like one egg at a time on a large, empty griddle. Eggs and turkey bacon literally take like 3 to 5 minutes or so to cook so I didn’t understand the wait. The few people who were behind us were served and ate all of their food long before ours came out. They only had waffles. Also, while it was packed, there were multiple, empty, dirty tables waiting to be bussed. There was no where to sit as a result. Not sure if they need to hire more people or better organize and manage the business, but serving timelier and bussing those tables fast are the basics…101. And cook more than one item at a time on the grill. What a waste of energy that seemed to be. Again, the food was good, the waffle was delicious, but I wouldn’t want to wait that long again or deal with that seating situation again. Will possibly try takeout one day. We paid 50 dollars for two plates and two lattes. That was a little steep for a small breakfast for two. Again, good waffles.

Went in for brunch, place was packed but everyone was getting there order in a timely fashion. As I waited for my food to arrived, I watch the previously seated and eating customers leave and new customers arrive and order. Those new customers were all served their food and drinks before me which felt deliberate. Will never eat here again because of this.

10 minute wait to order(no one in line) almost 30 minutes for two waffles, a latte and a hot chocolate. There were two other people in the restaurant. Waffles are great but not worth the wait or the drive

Highly recommend this place. I was driving from Boston to Philly and took a detour to visit this place. It didn’t disappoint me. Worth driving those extra miles. Latte could have been better. But I wouldn’t complain.

My husband had been asking me to go with him to Zinneken’s for awhile. I am not a morning person and also not a big breakfast eater, so, I kept putting it off. My birthday came up and he mentioned the Cafe was open until 2pm. I finally said yes and paid a visit to this wonderful, amazing place. First of all, there were five of us, we called before going and they reserved seating for us. I ordered the Belgian Waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. My husband had mentioned to the staff it was my birthday. To my amazement, another waffle called the Liege was place on my table with a candle for my birthday! I ate both waffles! They were so good!! The Liege was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD! I highly recommend stopping by this wonderful small business. As mention above, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful and what can I say, the food is….AHMAZING!
