We were served by Jaden, who was wonderful!! She was quick, helpful, and very friendly! She’s knowledgeable about the menu, and was able to help me with finding/adjusting the Spicy Mango Margarita so that I would enjoy it. Definitely give it a try!
We finished our meal with the beignets which were warm, and dusted lightly. Overall, we had a great time, but I would like to see some more veggie options available.
Shawn/Sean unsure of the spelling was a great server. He was great on checking on us and provided everything we needed
You can tell he really takes pride in what he does and genuinely cares about giving customers a great experience. That kind of attention to detail and professionalism is rare these days. Mato definitely made my visit memorable, and because of his outstanding service, I will absolutely be back the next time I’m in town. Restaurants need more servers like him!
Battery park location as we were travelling through the area. We really enjoyed it. It was one of those visits where, more than anything else, it was one person’s amazing service that really stood out and made our experience special.
The blacked red fish tacos were some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had bar none – delicious. Sides and other items were fine, nothing special. They know how to make cocktails. Tons of large video screens to keep up whatever is going on at the time.
We don’t normally leave reviews, and this one is really more targeted at management or ownership, but as somebody that owns their own business we wanted to give a shout out to the amazing employee that you have in Lina at this location. As anyone that has run a business knows, you can have one 1 special person that does the job of 5. At this location that is Lina.
She made amazing drinks. She took our orders. She delivered our orders. She checked back on us multiple time. She was friendly and provided feedback on our menu questions that were spot on. She was an absolute pleasure.
Do yourself a favour and recognize and promote this amazing young woman before you lose her!
We had no issues asking for the chef and being reassured we were gonna be taken care of. We order a round of drinks and put appetizers in. The drinks came out fairly quick. In my opinion the drinks are just okay. I would love to actually see daiquiris on the menu and better spirits selection. So the appetizers came out and eh. We ordered the Mozzarella Logs and 12 pc wings. The mozzarella logs are $15 and when did cheese sticks become so expensive?? Personally the marinara tasted like store bought. The cheese sticks were average. The wings… so on our first experience we asked for them crispy and they came out when soggy skin. So this time we emphasized we wanted them crispy. They came out crispy but my gosh the wings were HUGE. It was hard to trust eating them and the sweet chili lacked flavor. My boyfriend said his buffalo wings were straight though just big too.
Next we’re the entrees… I got the Boom Boom Shrimp tacos as a recommendation from our waiter and my boyfriend order the Catfish Orleans. I ordered my tacos without cheese and when it came out I had cheese on them. The tortillas were also hard. They seemed to toast them which I don’t mind but it was left on the heat just a little too long. They remade my food but then it came out cold.. I ordered a side of grits and those are interesting. I’m from the South so I’m salt, pepper, and butter girl. But those grits are too similar to mashed potatoes.. not a fan. I’m sure someone likes it though. Just not my preference.
My boyfriend’s food was interesting too.. just like our first visit we had issues with the crawfish being black. Literally black! We had the same issue this time. Idk about yall but I’m not eating black crawfish. The rice tastes like microwave rice. The fish was fried crispy but overall the dish itself lacked that bold flavor.
Overall the food is mediocre. Not impressed on either visits. We truly do appreciate the service from our waiter and the chef willing to invite us back. That goes a long way. The food just doesn’t outweigh that for us to come back. If I want New Orleans food I’ll go to Pappadeauxs down the street.
When we arrived, the Manager Grant had everything perfectly set up for us. We had ample space reserved, the restaurant was clean, easy to navigate, and ready for our large group. From start to finish, the experience felt organized and effortless.
Our server, Mateo, was truly the star of the show. Managing a party of our size with a constant smile, he was attentive, incredibly personable and friendly, and on top of everything all night long. Food and drinks came out quickly, we were checked on frequently throughout the evening to ensure our drinks were never empty, and any minor issues were handled immediately and professionally.
The food and drinks were delicious, well made, and impressively fast for such a large group. So PROPS to the kitchen for crushing it. Grant also made the checkout process for our party incredibly easy, which was the perfect way to wrap up an already fantastic evening.
This entire team was tremendous, and this location absolutely nailed it. Incredible people, great food and drinks, and top-tier service. We will 100% be back for future events and highly recommend Walk-On’s for anyone hosting a group gathering or corporate event!
