Best Dominican food I’ve tried on Long Island. The flavors were very authentic. That mofongo was so so good omg. It felt as if we were eating in the DR. Food tastes like home for sure. It was my boyfriend first time trying Dominican food and he really enjoyed it. Also, the service was fast. Jessica, our server was sweet and patient. Will definitely be back.

What an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious. To my surprise I saw Sajoma sushi on the menu and hello !!!!! being from Sajoma had to try it. It was amazing!!!!! The steak was cooked perfectly, the sushi rice was on point , the plantain EL MADURO was perfect….. to top it off with that cream cheeses sauce was perfection. Then had the honey arugula salad every bite was perfection…. The candied pecan… the honey drizzle and the salad was perfection coated with dressing. To drink had the sangria.

OHhhh my……. My husband had the mama Juana old fashion was hands down my new favorite old fashion . He accompanied with the Big Papi Hero…… hands down outstanding with that amazing guava sauce

If you’re looking for good Dominican food, great ambience and good customer service come here. You won’t be disappointed

Food and drinks were delicious. The staff were super casual and friendly. We attended the painting session. Definitely was worth it. Had a wonderful time, came home with a beautiful piece of artwork that we created, which we never thought we could. They’re always have different activities going on. But most importantly, their food portions are great. Prices are excellent for the portion and the taste. Highly recommended. This is our new go to place with our friends.

I went there December 2025. The place is a lot smaller than I thought it would be but its fine. The food was great. We ordered camarones al ajillo, churrasco chimichurri + lobster, mofongo de chicharron, and grilled chicken. For desert we had the tres leches which was delicious. The drinks were good. We had a few rounds of espresso martini and old fashion. The problem was one the waitress even though telling her twice brought the waters after the drinks and foods were brought out and everyone was eating. The music was wayyy to loud. A restaurant or a club, I totally get it if it was during a tipico or a sunday brunch but it was not. There werent even people dancing. The waitress couldnt hear anyone when speaking to her, we couldn’t hear her. It was hard to speak to our table due to the very loud music. Apple watch kept saying the environment was too loud. There needs to be a comfortable medium. We also waited 20+ minutes for our payment to be picked up to pay. I would definitely go again because the food was good.

A solid 3.5-4 for me… Coming in from the city and abuelo decided he was in the mood for some food from home aka DR so looked up the closest one with great reviews in the direction we were headed and Casita came in as top 3 in the Baldwin/Freeport area.

Owned by a head chef husband and hostess foh manager wife team, this spot has been around since 2022 from what we were told. It was nicely packed when we arrived yet they were able to accommodate our party of 3 with no reservation.

Menu has Domican dishes but also offers… sushi and penne a la vodka?… I’m not a big fan of fusion spots so we stuck to what we came in for. Ambiance is lively and loud, definitely difficult to speak to the person across from you. The seating is… interesting. They have a section of the restaurant where its couches facing each other with a table between them. Unless you are on the taller side, table height gets much higher once you plop down on these plushy couches. Which makes for an uncomfortable position to sit and eat. Our waitress must had be been new as we had to say our orders several times and she still came back to us almost combative about the order and didn’t when we said please make it a rolling service. However the young man who brought our drinks, our food and checked in on us throughout the night was fantastic! And deserves a raise.

Food: Ordered the app 3 varieties of mofongito: Mofongo part was very bland and dry and the toppings weren’t well seasoned except for the chicken one. The chicharrom did have a nice crunch to it and I’m on the fence on the very thin not plentiful bechamel sauce that was on top of each as it’s not what I’m used to seeing on Mofongo.

Also had the Picasita! A mountain of fried goodness, great to share amongst 4+ diners. Great selection of fried meats, yucca, tostones, garlicky shrimp (which would have been so much better on the mofongitos) and cheese Well worth the price tag! But please offer up a little more variety in your dipping sauces please like a wasakaka or mojo please!

The stewed oxtails were fall off the bone and not stringy. Rice and beans that came with it were delicious too.

Location has ample parking but would suggest a reservation especially on the weekends. We will give this place another try when in the area.

Casita RD was the perfect place to host our baby shower. Massiel, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure every detail felt special. Her staff was attentive, welcoming, and on point with everything we needed. Chef Papi’s food was incredible and our guests are still talking about how good everything tasted. The drinks were amazing, the service was unmatched, and the overall experience truly was the best. We are so grateful to the whole Casita RD team for making our celebration unforgettable.
