A spacious and comfortable spot that is perfect for catching up with friends over Thai food. We ordered the mango salad, green curry with chicken, and beef pad thai. The service was attentive and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Would definitely return to explore more of the menu.

Loved DEK SEN what a nice little culinary trip to Thailand right in the heart of montreal. Authentic and flavourful food. Loved the Panang, absolutely mouth watering! The little hints of lemon grass had me wanting more. The salt and pepper shrimp on their specials where so crispy and well seasoned. Lets not forget the thai tea, so fresh and perfect amount of sweetness. If i had any positive criticism I’d say the papaya salad lacked a bit of heat. I loved my experience and would definitely return. Thank you for having me 🙂

I went back again because it’s really good. It is halal and the quality of foods are amazing. Every meal has their own flavours and good quality and the staff are super friendly. I will definitely go back.

Being a fan of Thai food, having to find a halal spot was just perfect! We ordered beef pad Thai, Pla rad prik (I am not sure of the name, it was fried fish in chili sauce), chicken red curry, mango sticky rice and Thai milk tea. All the dishes were prais worthy. We enjoyed the fried fish and red curry most. I have had better pad Thai and milk tea though. But they were also good. The mango sticky rice was just delicious!

The service was nice, the atmosphere was calm. (I think mainly because it was a weekday). There was a promotion as well, for ordering a drink we got a free pad Thai for our child. It was very nice of them.

Some of the dishes on the menu were Thai name, it would be helpful if there were small descriptions of the dish.

I was very disappointed in the service provided and the environment we experienced. This could have easily been a 5 stars because the food is great but we were freezing our butts inside the restaurant. We had to eat with our coats on. I don’t think a restaurant can legally run without heat during Quebec winter. CNESST should be involved. Plus, it took an unreasonable amount of time before getting our food (15min before taking our order, 30min before getting appetizers and 40min for our mains). 2 stars because I can’t blame the workers, they’re not the owners and they’re doing their best.

I was really excited to try this Thai place out, it’s been on my want to go list for ever so when we finally ordered out I had high expectations and they were not meant at all.

I find the portions small for how much it was: the plates were at least 23$ each… look at the tofu ka prao: there is barely any tofu it’s just rice.

The Pad Sew Ew noodles were good but the beef was hard… ick. Also can we talk bout the fact you have to pay 1.30$ or 2.35$ or 4.45$ more to have beef or chicken or shrimp instead of tofu?! The plate already started at 23.48$ what do u mean??

Overall not worth it at all.

I’m absolutely in love. Thai cuisine is my ultimate favourite and Deksen really hit the spot with some classic and new favorites. Will definitely be returning again and again for the service, the amazing food and the extremely friendly staff.

We ordered salt and pepper shrimp, tom yum soup, chicken gyoza, their new flower dumplings, red and green curries (both came with rice), grilled mackerel (very nice with a great green dip).

This is one of the few Halal Thai restaurants in Montreal. The outdoor ambience is good and service is quick and efficient.
We ordered Mango Salad and Papaya salad. Both were good but I prefer the Mango salad. For the main course we ordered Pad Thai and Tofu Fried Rice. I didn’t like either one. The dishes were bland and lacked flavour.
Overall, if you are looking for Halal Thai, it’s worth trying out.

I love my Issan papaya salad but it’s a bit too salty, same as the Pad see ew. This brought me back to Thailand fr. I was surprised that they have ice cream with mango sticky rice too, it’s sooooo GOOD! The owner is super friendly, let us tried the new dish.

I hate to see comments like ‘I’ve been to so many Thai restaurants it didn’t taste like other Thai restaurants’ ‘the food is REPULSIVE’ DO YOUR RESEARCH! Each part of Thailand has its own unique flavor, and they’re not just sweet and sour!
Like EXCUSE me? You ordered papaya with stinky fish sauce and you’re here complaining?!!!! Maybe ask before you order it?! I’m not even Thai but I feel the disrespect! That’s really disrespectful to a restaurant which is trying to make authentic food ! Maybe you should just keep going to your whitewashed Thai restaurants! You don’t belong to here. 100% uneducated ignorant and not well cultured!

Great place. We tried 7 dishes and all 7 dishes were very tasty. Also I liked the Thai iced tea. And even the noodles were tasty, although I don’t like them, but I decided to try it and it was very tasty.
The waiter was very polite and helped to decide on the menu. It’s just a pity that 4 dishes were brought out at once: salad, noodles, and hot appetizer, and dumplings. We had to eat all the hot food quickly. Next time I will definitely inform you that it is not necessary to take everything out. Also, for some reason the staff cleaned the empty tables, but not ours. This is a mistake, you should first remove dirty dishes from the guests, not where no one is already sitting. I worked as a restaurant manager for more than 10 years and I know what I’m talking about.
But nevertheless thanks to the waiter, who speaks 5 languages, including ours, and thanks to the delicious food, our impression is positive.
I recommend it !
