We were seated at a nice table on the second floor, which was not the most spacious, however still nice. Some of the seats at the 4-person table overlooked the ground floor and provided such a beautiful view. Onto the food, our waitress was very helpful and assured me that they could get me something different if I didn’t like what I was served. I ordered the confit de canard and my two friends ordered the steak frites. Although pricey for sure, the steak frites lived up to our expectations, as it was delicious and cooked to our liking. The duck leg, however, was a little disappointing as a lot of the meat was dry, as if it was left in the oven for too long. Consequently, it was hard to bite and felt dry. I don’t think it was worth the $44USD. Finally, we were quite appalled by the price of one glass of coke — my friend ordered a glass and got a refill because the glass was mostly filled with ice, and it ultimately ran us up $18!!!! That was pretty insane but I guess it’s a fancier restaurant, so we should be more cautious next time.
All in all, we had an enjoyable experience dining at Boucherie and it lived up to our expectations. If you’re willing to spend a pretty penny for decent food and a wonderful atmosphere, definitely check it out!
The food was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the steak with fries, the steak tartare, and some desserts, and everything was delicious and very well prepared. The crème brûlée and the chocolate dessert were outstanding.
It was a wonderful dinner and we definitely recommend Boucherie to anyone visiting NYC or looking for a great French restaurant. We’d be happy to come back next time we’re in the city.
From the moment we hit the door, service was impeccable. YAMAN was our server and was one of the best we have ever had.
We sat near the beautiful tree.
I ordered the steak frites and a vanilla strawberry croissant,
My wife ordered the eggs Benedict. We did splits
Steak Frites- good amazingly- so moist and flavorful- came with butter and a pepper brown sauce on the side- so good
Eggs Benedict- just perfect. Nothing else to say
The croissant was stuffed with strawberry marmalade and a vanilla cream on top. This was amazing.
A must visit- service, food and ambiance are top notch. YAMAN thank you for a great day.
Service was solid, he was great! Our server, Turgut, was friendly, charming, and more than willing to take all the photos we wanted, without disturbing the other tables. He wasn’t overly chatty, not hovering, just around when we needed him. Given how busy it was, the staff handled things well. We waited a bit before being seated, but nothing that threw off the night.
The food was genuinely delicious! The table went quiet, which says everything. Growing up in France, it was actually nice to taste dishes that felt familiar, like a little flashback to French comfort food done right.
Overall, it delivered exactly what you’d expect: good food, a warm atmosphere, and a night that feels well put together without being pretentiousness.
Came for brunch with my son, treated him to yummy foie gras and *gasp* – he didn’t like it.. LOL had to enjoy that whole liver mousse myself! Over indulgence for sure (oh my cholesterol!). We ordered the Wagyu carpaccio and it was fantastic! He loved it. For main, he got the mushroom ravioli (fragrant truffle & mushrooms!) and I got the French dip steak sando. Thankfully, I didn’t get pasta… I was super full after the appetizers… and was only able to eat half the sando. The college kid finished it all. Hehee
The cappuccino is delish! Had 2 cups. My caffeine fix for that day. The baguette is warmed and that butter is *muah*
We had Dimi as our server, he was fantastic! Friendly and attentive, helped us shift my chair so that I could be more comfortable. Overall, an amazing lunch! Total bill about $180+
Dining at Boucherie in the West Village was a fantastic experience! The restaurant is beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A special mention goes to Aliya, our server, who was incredibly attentive and sweet. Her genuine care made our meal even more enjoyable!
The highlight was the mushroom ravioli—absolutely amazing and bursting with flavor. I can’t wait to come back for it!
If you’re looking for a delightful dining experience with great service, Boucherie is the place to be
