barbarian instincts
You need to fix your coffee machine –
Or properly train your staff on how to use it
That is not Cuban coffee or cafecito-
First of all
It does not come out hot- at all
It is way to watery
And absolutely no foam

If It was hot it would be drinkable

And it wasn’t just today it’s been the same the last 3 weeks

Right in trash it went
It taste terrible –

Ordered delivery, this bakery did not have the items I ordered(8 colombian empanadas) but claimed they could not cancel the order and that I would have to cancel on the delivery app. Delivery app then refused to refund me due to the dishonest bakery claiming to the delivery app that they would still honor my order of a coffee despite not having the 8 empanadas I ordered. I lost money for nothing, very shady business practice, will never order from here again.

This place is a joke! I walked in today (empty with only 1 customer inside and 2 employees) and ordered 4 sandwiches (media noche, pan con lechón, pan con bistec and grilled chicken sandwich) . An hour later I still only have 2 sandwiches, the media noche is missing and the chicken was made wrong ( I ordered grilled chicken and was given fried breaded chicken) 10 min later still waiting for the sandwiches I asked to please give me a refund. I was told my Cuban sandwich was ready (not what I ordered!) I have to leave my name and phone number for the manger to call me for the $10 refund for the chicken sandwich. This is ridiculous. I now have 3 cold sandwiches for 4 people and a waste of an hour !

I have come to Cao many times as their pastelitos and coffee are always delicious. Today I walked in at 3:55pm and it took a little bit to be attended as there was someone in front of me who was being attend. Once I got to the front at 3:58pm I kindly asked for a cafe con leche, I was told “sorry we are closed.” As someone who works in customer service, this is an huge no and I am extremely disappointed to walk into the store, wait, and be turned away even before 4:00pm when the door says they are closed. Unfortunately this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth…

We stopped by on our way to Key West… everything was delicious! This is my first time trying out CAO. Tried a bunch of different things. And a couple of sandwiches too. Yes. The coffee was good too!!! Would definitely be back again when I’m back in town.

Three stars cause I love the food here but today – today was unacceptable. I called to order to go and first, because my Spanish is broken, they hung up on me. I called two more times, and they told me to order online. So I did. I come in after getting a text that my stuff that I already paid for is ready. Im on a time crunch which is why I ordered ahead. I get here and NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT MY ORDER. So now, im 20 MINUTES late to a job Im trying to get to. No apology, no making up for it, nor even moving faster. Just too bad you have to wait. Enjoy the food but be prepared for the service.

This place is not busy right now, but there is a long wait. I agree with the previous reviews that the customer service isn’t great. They don’t even say hello when you walk in the door. When a market is saturated with cuban cafes; yours needs to stand out. When your employees are happy; they’ll be in good mood and it will reflect with their customers. One plus is that they’re open on New Years Day and they have great prices. The beef pastries are amazing!!!

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Keep giving them the benefit of the doubt and keep going back and every time the quality continues to decline. Go early so you think your getting fresh pastries but get heated up pastries from the day before. The croquettes tasted only of grease ham taste was nonexistent . It seems like they refry them. I won’t even get started on the customer service. Drive further to another location or maybe even go to Publix. Looking forward to the opening of the new location of Party Cake by Tamiami Airport. ✌ CAO/Vicky Bakery
