Used to have an unbelievable buffet but they have ended that. Food is very solid, service was a little off when we went but we also went at a strange time of day so I will give them a pass on that and the “atmosphere” which was honestly non existent being the only person in the restaurant. Restaurant was extremely clean and looked very nice. Im sure when its full of peolle its a very nice vibe in there. Food came out very quickly the garlic naan was amazing. Basically a 5 star food experience but without the buffet option it loses a star because I wanted to taste everything.

I order from here using Uber Eats . Do not order here my food was delivered so late and my food was so cold I had to heat it up in the microwave. And the portion is so small for 18 dollars

I used to go there back in 2009-2012 when I was studying in UTA. The food was very good and we used to get student discount. Hope to go back and try the food again reminiscing the college days.

Exactly what I hope for in an Indian dining experience. We opted for the buffet, and every dish tasted like it was prepared with care, rich in flavor, beautifully spiced, and reminiscent of a home-cooked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. Our total bill came to just $32 for two adults, a five-year-old, and an eight-month-old, making it not only delicious but also incredibly affordable. We’ll definitely be returning.

First time trying, would always pass by this place after driving back from UTA and now I got the chance to try it. Atmosphere is very intimate, cozy, somewhat yellow dim lighting, Indian music playing in the back ground with a tv showcasing Bollywood dances.
We got the chicken korma, chefs special biryani (medium spicy), the garlic naan, and the kabuli naan.
Korma is excellent, smooth rich taste, moist delicious chicken (I think it’s chicken thigh) and comes with a side of plain biryani rice.
Chefs special is delicious. It includes goat cubes, shrimp (with tail off), and potatoes and each of those tasted great with the biryani. It’s $3 more than a chicken biryani (cheapest biryani). Plentiful meat (not just plentiful potatoes). Medium spice isn’t too spicy, it does have a little bit of a kick.
The naan breads came out thick.
Garlic naan tasted great.
It was my first time trying the kabuli naan and it was pretty good! It’s made up of cheese and raisins inside and is like the less greasy and savory alternative to garlic naan. Recommend eating it by itself rather than with curry. The raisin doesn’t make the bread too sweet, it’s like it adds a pleasant very subtle sweetness to it.
Waitress was very nice. Prices are reasonable. Every dish was less than $15 and there’s enough to take some home to go.

Star India is my favorite place to eat in Arlington. I’ve been coming here for years, my husband introduced me to this restaurant. (He’s Indian) I love the buffet, sucks it’s only weekend now. It has the simplest buffet items but it’s so worth it. My favorite is the palak paneer! I’m so in love with it! I’d rate this place higher if I could.

I had ordered chicken biriyani for dinner and it was alright. As someone from India I found it on a little bland side but otherwise it was ok.
Prices are reasonable. And I had a look at buffet items which looked pretty good. Gotta try them soon.

The buffet is consistently delicious and fresh. The owner always greats us and makes fresh flat bread for each table. This guy has mastered his menu.

This is easily one of the best Indian restaurants! It is buffet style so help yourself to a plate or several. Very reasonably priced full of flavor and spice. Water is complimentary to your meal. I will recommend going here for great food, whether you are unfamiliar with this cuisine or not.
