Good salsa is always a sign of usually good food. They had great salsa. If your in Stillwater stop by and have a bite. I had the Texanas fajitas and I wasn’t disappointed

If I could give this a 6/5 stars I would because I love it so much. I have been to over a dozen states looking for Mexican food(my favorite) and this will remain my all time favorite, no other restaurant even comes close. If I could get somebody to order the Pollo con Queso (ACP) or burrito Colorado and overnight mail it to me, I 100% would. I love this restaurant so much, during college I would sometimes eat there 2-4 times per week. Every occasion I have to travel back to Stilly and go out with a friend, I convince friends to come to Chico’s, and they end up loving it too. I truly hope this restaurant stays open until I can force my children to attend OSU so I can make excuses to visit and take them out to Chicos.

BY FAR OYR FAMILY FAVORITE NOW!!! It was our first time, and every aspect of our experience including flavor and atmosphere were OUTSTANDING. The service was the best in town as well. Great job Chicos! We cannot wait to return!

My wife and I decided to give Chicos a try for lunch on one of our trips to stillwater. We were seated promptly and ordered water to drink. Our water arrived with chips and salsa. The salsa was really good with just the right amount of heat that didnt overpower the flavor. Gazing over the menu there were numerous items to choose from. The only problem with the menu was that it was falling apart. Literally the pages and cover had separated nearly 3/4 of the way down the spine of the menu. After a few minutes I ordered the Supreme enchiladas and asked if it came with beans and rice only to find out it didn’t. So I ordered a side of rice for an extra 2.99. My wife ordered supreme nachos with a side order of guacamole and Pico de Gallo. The waiter misunderstood and wrote down “no pico” instead, so when my wife’s nachos arrived there was no onions or tomatoes on her nachos. Nor did she get get her order of Pico. The food did arrive hot and was nicely seasoned. We asked the waiter about the Pico and soon it arrived. We didn’t see the waiter for almost the rest of the meal till we were almost finished. Ot seemed thay they were more concerned with what the manager was doing than the customer.
As for the atmosphere, it really wasn’t good. The manager was at the front door on his cell phone talking loud anough that anyone within 15 feet could hear him. Next a lady with a crying baby stood next to him while he was on the phone. Then he sat down in the dining room and wrote out checks and conducted business right in the middle of a room with guest eating. That’s what office’s are for.
Overall, great food, the people cooking did great! Service left a lot to be desired. As for atmosphere I found the lack of service and the antics of the manager wishing I had went somewhere else to spend my 30 plus dollars.

Typical, Acceptable, Nothing Special
That sums it up. The lunch meal prices were fair for quality and the amount of food you get. The beans and ground beef were pleasantly seasoned. The salsa was average. The hot, not very… I could go on and on but, I would just keep using the word “average.”
No real complaints. You can find better in Stillwater.

This is the second time my wife and I have visited Chico’s (Valentines Day) and we will continue to return time and time again. Even with the insane traffic and how busy they were, they sat us quickly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting that created a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. If you’re looking for a truly authentic Mexican dining experience, look no further. The flavors were spot-on. Eduardo was amazing, and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Recommend this to everyone and a must try for anyone visiting.

Finally Made it. All the Positive things people had to Say about this Restaurant! Then I show up on a Busy Saturday Late Afternoon. Small wait. Then it Went Straight Down Hill From There. Server or Bus person brings salsa and chips. No Smile. No nothing. Just drop it off and leave. Server Comes. No Smile. No introduction. Just what will you have to drink. Quick Turn around. Again, curt and to the point. No napkins no silverware. First plate comes out. We ask for silverware Server replies I let your waitress know. Now my plate comes out. Still no silverware. Finally after the second Server told our waitress who brought us silverware. Still can’t figure that one out. Waitress never came and checked on our progress during our meal. To make a Long story Short! This is an AMERICAN RESTAURANT INFLUENCED BY MEXICAN CUISINE. A CAN OF ITALIAN DICED TOMATOES IS NOT SALSA. EVEN PACE PICANTE SAUCE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. SEASONING WAS AS IF I WAS EATING HOSPITAL FOOD! VERY DISAPPOINTING! WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

I haven’t had this bad of service in any establishment in a very long time. The beer wasn’t cold, the dining room was warm and dirty. The servers were congregated talking while we never received refills on anything. (Drinks, salsa, chips) and that was after buying a bowl of white soup they called queso. The food was sub-par. I will say the shrimp that was on my tacos was cooked well, but the tortillas were wet and fell apart. Also, I didn’t have or was offered any salsa or lime or anything to put on them. Don’t waste your time or money !!! I presume it was the manager I spotted chatting with a table while the place was in shambles. I would have rather gone to Taco Bueno.

Great Mexican food and family atmosphere. Prices are great!! Love their chicken fajitas,, black beans,, street tacos,, and guacamole. The restaurant itself is a little run-down (old building) but clean. I highly recommend this for authentic Mexican food! Similar to El Tapatio or Palominos.

One word flavor. This place is the newest and best Mexican restaurant to eat at in Stillwater. If you want to enjoy every thing you order down to the last bite eat here. Queso, guacamole salsa from scratch, juicy flavorful fajitas, creamy refined beans that smack you so hard you can’t believe your eating refried beans. Fried banana dessert omg. Chile Rellenos, tacos you name it it’s all excellent. Authentic and sweet family owned place. They treat you right and deliver high above expectations! Just come try it for yourself.
