A hidden gem of Thai food in Santa Maria! No wonder why they were chosen as the best Thai food by Santa Maria Sun News!

We were politely welcomed by our host. The place is kinda old but very cozy and homelike. Ordered Thai Hut Fried Shrimp, Spicy Chicken Fried Rice and Thai Ice Tea. Everything tasted really good and true to other people’s reviews! I would highly recommend this place. Better to call in and inform about your arrival so they can serve you better!

Special mention – Their Spicy Fried Rice has a smoked flavor which is very unique.

We stopped here for lunch during Christmas and I’m so glad we did. It’s a humble family owned restaurant – everything about this place takes me back to my East Asian roots

The owner was very friendly and hospitable. She went all around the room checking in on everyone while taking new orders and cooking, all at the same time. She even gave us cookies after lunch ❤️

We ordered basil fried rice. Even as she was bringing the food to the table, I could tell it was going to be delicious. Every bite was nostalgic with a special touch of grandma’s love.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place whether you are hungry or home sick.

We are fairly recently turned vegan and enjoying finding restaurants that cater to vegan menu items. Thai Hut was extremely accommodating in altering the vegetarian dishes to be fully vegan. Seems like something they are used to doing, which is comforting. We ordered tofu Pad Thai with no egg, the tofu noodle dish, and the sweet and sour vegetable tempura. The tempura batter has no eggs or dairy in it and none of these items use fish sauce. The owner/server was very accommodating and very friendly. This place has been around for decades and has a huge local following. I can see why! The food is amazing. We will definitely come back to try more!

We went to Thai Hut on our trip . It has a nice simple homely feel. The food feels like home cooked food. The lady taking orders and serving us was very sweet and understood our food restrictions well and made sure it was as per our taste. The service is fast and good. The portion sizes are large so we had quite a few leftovers. I just have a suggestion that it will be great if they serve the food in simple ceramic plates as we do not eat warm food in plastic utensils. I recommend this place to try .

I have lived in Orcutt my entire childhood then moved to Santa Maria, i always drove by this little spot but never when in to dine, i have been missing out. This place is nice and the food is delicious and authentic, portions are on the larger side but very welcomed. I would and will definitely come back, my parents also enjoyed this restaurant and the atmosphere takes you out of the united states, feels like ur visiting another country. I loved my experience here.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! We ordered takeout for thanksgiving dinner thinking they didn’t have indoor seating, but they welcomed us into their restaurant and provided phenomenal service. Plus, the food was delicious. We got the pad Thai, pad sew ewe, papaya salad, and fresh coconut drink. Everything was fantastic!

It was really small and cute restaurant run by a family. Lady was very very welcoming and lovely! Food was very comforting and felt like home meal vs restaurant. We had pad kha see and egg rolls. Both tasted really good. Rolls were not even oily. It was a good experience and definitely recommend anyone who wants to have thai in this area.

Very confused by the high ratings. Pad Thai tasted like it was in some weird tomato sauce. Drunken noodles didn’t have any sauce and the veggies were so over cooked. The sweet and sour sauce that came with the appetizer was literally hot pink. Can’t comment on dine-in but I don’t recommend takeout

Amazing Thai food, probably the best I’ve ever had. The quality is exactly like authentic food you get in Bangkok. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Kind and friendly hosts.

We had the Pad Thai, Pad kee mao, green curry and Tom yum soup. All vegan. All delicious!

Don’t miss it while you drive through Santa Maria!

We stopped by here on our way north to San Francisco. It’s a small, unassuming place but it’s got great Thai food! We have a vegetarian in our party and they had a separate vegetarian menu and were very accommodating. The hostess was very nice and helpful. We ordered the Tom yum which was fragrant and delicious, and the vegetarian red curry was incredible. We also got the veggie fried rice and cashew chili stir fry, which were both great. The portions here are very generous; we had a lot of leftovers we couldn’t take with us unfortunately. But a great place to share food. They didn’t have fortune cookies but instead gave us 3 Oreos which I thought was cute (I don’t like fortune cookies). Definitely try this place out whether you’re a local or just passing through!
