I have never written a review, but I had to share my experience. It was truly so awful that it ruined my mood for a few hours after. We walked in very hungry expecting to enjoy a good, peaceful meal as the reviews seemed good. I cannot believe more people haven’t negatively written about the minuscule portions of food offered, it’s absolutely ridiculous. We ordered the crispy rice w/ salmon and my partner & I immediately exchanged a look since it wasn’t even enough food for one of us, let alone both. We then ordered some sushi and asked how many roles were included in the order because it just seemed so small. We were told it was one long roll of sushi that would be about 4 bites. Not only that, but about 3 sushi rolls would be $40. What the hell is going on here, I have been to many upscale restaurants and none have ever felt so patronizing and entitled as to call 2 bites of food a real meal, (not even extraordinary tasting food), and charge that much for it. The audacity is beyond me and my partner and I immediately left the restaurant after paying and found somewhere else to eat. If you want to be full and feel like your money is worth it- don’t go here. There’s plenty of upscale restaurants that will actually make you feel like you’re allowed to eat real, good food, and enough of it.

This place has a very intimate and cozy ambiance. Service was attentive. Fish was fresh and serving was quick. My colleague and I had such a good time. If we didn’t have a heavy lunch earlier during the day, we would have ordered more!

If you’re looking for a perfect meal, this is it. We were blown away by the omakase and nigiri, but don’t sleep on the tacos and yakitori either—everything was delicious. Service was a highlight as well; Johan was incredibly kind and attentive. We are so thankful for the great evening!

I must say, for takeout sushi, this was so good!!!! I chose the salmon avocado and the spicy tuna for the two rolls: both were equally as delicious. The nigiri was super smooth and high quality! I loved this

Had an excellent experience at Bondi Sushi. From start to finish, everything was top-tier. The quality of the fish was outstanding — incredibly fresh, clean, and flavorful. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the ingredients and preparation.
Our server, Hendra, was amazing and truly elevated the experience. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without ever being overbearing. He made great recommendations and made us feel genuinely taken care of the entire meal.
The atmosphere was great, the food exceeded expectations, and the service tied it all together. Easily one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in New York. Highly recommend and will absolutely be coming back.

This was my first time having Omakase and the experience was great! I had the 12 course Omakase ($75) and the Saké flight ($14) during happy hour. I didn’t catch my waitress’ name but she provided very good service and was able to explain the different notes of each Saké shot. The range was sweet to dry and they were all very good. Having the Omakase alone was enough to fill us up but we wanted to try the crispy rice & it was delicious! I especially liked the truffle avocado crispy rice but they were all great. We also were given complimentary edamame which was salted perfectly. The fish that we had during the Omakase was high quality and buttery. We have several types of salmon, tuna, & other seafoods. I was in pescatarian heaven! My friends has other cocktails on their menu and said they were good as well. If you’re in Manhattan for a while, make sure to stop by. 10/10 highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of visiting Bondi for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience. I was fortunate to arrive just in time for their lunch special, which was not only delicious but also very reasonably priced.
What stood out to me was the intimate atmosphere. Watching the chef prepare our meals right in front of us added a personal touch that made the dining experience feel special. The attention to detail in both the food and the setting made it memorable. I’ll definitely be returning for more if I’m in the area.

Amazing sushi!!!! 10/10. However, I am rating it 4 stars because of the price. $56 for the lunch deal ($40 + tip). Yikes!!!
I came here because KazuNori across the street was packed. They charge 6-hand rolls for $35, no tip. Yes, Bondi has more than hand rolls, which is probably why they charge more. But if I do feel like KazuNori is a better deal.
Bondi is great if you have the $$$ to splurge!
