This was my 1st time here. We were a party of 3 my fiance and her daughter have been here before. My fiance ordered the #11 sandwich, her daughter had the chicken Alfredo, and I had the eggplant. I absolutely loved the food even the salad bar was delicious.

The eggplant along with the spaghetti was on point and the portion was just right. Had seen the servers bring out pizza which we are going to get next time.

Everyone was friendly and service was excellent.

Thank you again for a fantastic meal

This is a small restaurant along the road. A real hole in the wall family restaurant. The interior is quaint and makes you feel at home. The staff is friendly and helpful and attentive. The food is delicious, The salad bar is simple, but the quality of the items is exquisite. We were a party of 13 and we didn’t call ahead which was our mistake but they invited us in anyway.
This is what a good restaurant is supposed to be.

We just stopped in for our first visit, but it won’t be our last! We both had the Calzones, and they were great! The crust is very light and flaky and has a good amount of cheese (+++!) and ingredients. The service was great, got our food very quickly, and the cost was less than what is shown on this site ($9 vs $10.50). It’s a bit of a drive for us but we’ll be back!

Expect some problems. Four big complaints:

First, the pizza and mozzarella sticks ordered at 5:10pm was promised a 15-20min pickup time. That did not happen. Instead we did not get out until 6pm. A minor annoyance I guess. But there is more.

Second, not a single apology, not a single explanation, no attempt to “make it right” was offered. Now, I’m not a guy who complains, and I get that running a restaurant can be hard, but at least just apologize. Then it’s “no harm no foul”.

Third, the pizza is done first but the mozza sticks aren’t. So now we wait longer and in that time the pizza is now cold. When we get the sticks, pizza is cold, we aren’t too happy.

Fourth, the poor kid up front is not to blame. Poor management is the reason for the complaint about Villa Roma. I wish they’d get their act together and be more of a pro-customer business. The pizza is good.

Nice, quaint restaurant with a personalized touch. You have to know where you’re going in Gastonia or you’ll miss it.

The service was good. The waitress was prompt and friendly.

I had a personalized veggie pizza. It was homemade – the ingredients were fresh and the dough and sauce was good. You could tell it was freshly baked. The side salad I had was fresh, too! The lettuce, tomatoes, onions and all the other ingredients were just right.

If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend thee seer you visit this neighborhood Italian restaurant

Before I even ordered I called and asked if they had a real margarita pizza. I asked specifically with the splotches of cheese and all. I was literally told yes by the person over the phone so I ordered, picked up, and took home. Only to find a regular pizza with tomatoes on it??? Like if that’s how your store wants to make a margarita pizza fine, but why lie about it? I would have happily ordered else where, but I was tricked into buying it from your store. And then when I called and asked why I was misled the lady was very rude and told me there was nothing they could do for me? So I wasted $30 and there’s nothing you can do for me? I will never be coming here again! Awful place!

Villa Roma is a staple for our family. I had the baked spaghetti (watch out because the melted cheese can splash sauce on your shirt) and it was yummy. We enjoy all the food and the small salad bar that has a nice variety of ingredients. The service is always good as is the food. We enjoy the Italian flavored hominess and keep coming back.

The atmosphere here is nice and the food tastes good. Small but adequate salad bar. However the prices are way too high for the portion size you receive. I do not recommend this for budget conscious families. Only occasionally for a couple for date night. Just too expensive. Spaghetti portion is quite small. Not worth $10 and up.
