Charlie and Friends Diner

We made a reservation here for a party of 8 for my daughter’s birthday. When we walked in they had a table set up for us and we were greeted by MANY smiling faces. The staff asked my daughter if they could sing to her and they brought her a complimentary cheesecake. The experience here was beyond five stars, but the food was also excellent. The owner was very friendly and I noticed her not telling the staff what to do, but encouraging and guiding them. Even if you don’t go for the delicious food, go for the experience and positive atmosphere 🙂

We were warmly greeted when we came in. I took Amanda Treat Matthew Patton and Eliana to Charlie and friends for breakfast located in North Branch per the suggestion from one of my students that brought me their delicious pizza and recommended their coffee. They have workers there that cook in serve that have special needs. The food portions were insane. Pancakes with their own zipcodes, coffee was spot on, excellent homemade Biscuits, Gravy, perfectly cooked eggs, and delectable bacon, sausage. The service was also excellent with very attentive staff. I met with my student and his friend to converse about the experience. I felt very welcome there, a rarity these days for me. We will definitely be returning for some pizza soon. The student’s parents run the business and several members of his family work their too. We had a magnificent time. There are not a lot of places that make all people welcome these days and I felt right at home. My new favorite restaurant. During the meal I spoke with the owner’s son, his gf, the server, and waiter. I complimented them on the flavor of their pizza crust, the excellent breakfast, and friendliness of all their staff. I think employing people with special needs to give them a chance to cook, serve, and socialize is an excellent idea and recommend everyone in the area to support this business with an awesome cause.

I’m usually skeptical of a place that only has high praise, but Charlie’s really is amazing. Checked it out this weekend during the Fall Festival and was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great. Even with it being a busy day, everyone was smiling and the food came out quickly. Everything tasted great – probably the best Monte Cristo I’ve had in a while. The prices and quality of food/service were enough to make me a repeat customer. I would highly suggest checking this place out.

I went in this restaurant today and was greeted by Charlie and her friends! The atmosphere alone made me want to dine in instead of get a carry-out. I had the ultimate breakfast biscuits and honestly they were huge and delicious! I couldn’t believe the portion size! We also opted to get a BLT Pizza to go, that was just fantastic too! I highly recommend Charlie and friends diner!

This was our first visit here, finally. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, considerate, and funny! I ordered the kitchen sink omelet with tater tots and sourdough toast. It was huge and delicious! You definitely get your money’s worth. They have a huge assortment of food items to choose from..a little something for everyone. Given the chance, we would definitely stop again.

The pizza was delicious. It was hot when we got it home, the crust, toppings and sauce were great tasting. Customer service was great as well. We will be back.

My husband and I contacted Charlie and Friends to inquire about having a memorial luncheon after my father in laws funeral. They were so kind and sweet. They stayed open after hours to accommodate us! Angela, Jody and staff went above and beyond! Everything was perfect! The food was delicious and they truly did an amazing job! I highly recommend! And we will definitely be back to visit.

My hubby and I wanted to try a different place, so we went to North Branch and tried Charlie’s and friends. What a cute place! It’s definitely family oriented. Serving sizes were BIG, waitresses were nice and I liked how they helped each other out. My husband had the Zoom burger and loved it! He thought the chips were homemade. Plus yummy! I’m afraid I didn’t care for the fish and chips. The fries looked freshly cut, but they were coated with seasoning salt or something. I don’t like fries that way but that’s anywhere, not just here. I also thought the fish had a heavy batter, it wasn’t flakey, I just took it off and ate the fish without it. Coleslaw was excellent. So, I don’t want to diss a place because I have a preference that might fall outside the norm for that area. We WILL come back, they have good sized menu and good prices. I’ll just try something different, lol.
