The food was out of this world. I had biscuits and gravy. It was honestly the best I’ve ever had and that’s saying something because I’m from the country and I get biscuits and gravy all over the country. The clam chowder was very good also. My girl had the dungrness crab grilled cheese. It could have used more meat for the price. The food was very well priced this item could have been better. But I would love to eat here again. Those biscuits and grave will be the new top to beat.

Got the halibut fish and chips. Sister got some clam chowder which was good but didn’t settle well. The fish however was really good. Quirky place. Small but nice with good service.

First time trying Loose Kaboose after visiting Long Beach for 7 years. My husband and I absolutely loved the food and the milkshake was amazing. Friendly and attentive service as well. Will definitely be going back.

I enjoyed my halibut and clam chowder. Halibut was fried just right, moist and tender. French fries were good.
Service was pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere is inside a railway type car, with dollar bills all over the place. All good.

Delicious food at a great price! The kids enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the food on the kids’ menu. (They especially loved the train track on the ceiling inside.) I got the mushroom burger and it was delicious! There are tables both inside and outside. We will be coming back next time we’re in town. I highly recommend this family-friendly establishment.

The best fish and chips and oysters in the area! Not to mention great non seafood options like reubens and pastrami. The halibut fish and chips is delicious, perfectly fried with an incredible flaky texture and freshness. The fried oysters were phenomenal and the oyster shooter was the best on our trip. Highly recommended, with great service from the owner herself. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great local place. Food was good and reasonably priced. The onion rings were made with purple onion which is unusual but pretty good. The one problem was that the onion rings were so full of grease that it was hard to eat more than one. Best part was all the dollar bills left behind get donated yearly to local organizations

Stopped at Loose Kaboose when we were visiting town, and we were not disappointed! There are reviews on here about food being greasy, and we did not experience that with our fish and chips and chicken sandwich! Super good food, and the waitress was amazing and so kind! Will be a reoccurring stop for us in town!

Cozy diner in Long Beach with some outdoor tables for al fresco dining. Good halibut fish and fries, as well as fried oysters. Love that the oysters have a thin, crunchy batter unlike in other places I’ve had them (fried pancake like).
Those dollar bills hanging all over the diner are money donated by patrons for the Peninsula youth activities. So bring dollar bills!
Prices are fair, staff is attentive (well, we were the only table occupied on a weeknight). Only place we’ve been to in Long Beach so far but no complaints.

Been curious and finally stopped for a bite of lunch during the Memorial Weekend. It was not too busy so we got seated right away. Our drink order/food order taken quickly and food delivered. Soda is Pepsi products out of cans(not fountain). Menu had variety of options and prices were reasonable. Give it a shot if in the area but bring cash!
