It’s a local burger and beer joint. The beer battered fries and wedges combo basket was delicious. The hamburger was pretty good. My husband didn’t like the hotdog sauce. They serve cans of soda with glasses of ice. So not ideal if you like refills, which we weren’t offered. Server was friendly but rushed. We don’t drink so didn’t try any house brews.

Atmosphere-4 stars- Claims to be the oldest Brewery in WV. Rustic looking tavern with plenty of tables and a full bar. Very popular with the locals. Can get a little loud. Very clean.
Service- 4 stars- not the friendliest waitress but a hard worker. Place was busy at lunch time and it seemed she had most if not all the tables to take care of.
Food- 4 stars- I had what was coined their Famous Burger- you can get a 1/4 lb or a 1/2 pound burger. I went with the 1/4 which was plenty big enough. Not a bad burger but not sure I would give it a “Famous” label. I liked the fact that they carry both Coke and Pepsi products. Don’t see that often. We also got a basket of Onion Rings which were very good and a basket of bottle cap jalapeños- not bad either and a huge serving.
I would stop by again if I’m ever in town.

If you’re in Parkersburg, West Virginia, this is a great place to have a meal if you like American cuisine. If you’re into beer, they brew their own beer here as well and have a good selection. The North End Tavern (NET) burger is awesome if you’re a burger fan. You get to pick single or double and whatever toppings you want. The fries are great as well. If you like mozzarella sticks, the breading on their mozzarella sticks is awesome too. The atmosphere is nice with multiple tv’s. The staff is always friendly as well. The service here is fast and the servers are attentive. This isn’t my first visit, or my second, or third… we will definitely be back.

I am not a typical bar person. I was looking for the best restaurants in Parkersburg and this place was towards the top of the list. I looked over the menu and was surprised at how many different options they had. I had the thick cut bologna sandwich. Wow, when they say thick cut, they mean thick cut. It was atleast a quarter of an inch thick. The downside was that it was just the sandwich. There were no sides. I this was a shame because the sandwich itself was over $7. But, I could not complain too much because it was very good. The sides are extra, but they come in huge portions to share with the whole table. I was in a group of 6 adults. The wedges were more than enough for everyone. Our waitress was great and was helpful with the menu. Some of the menu was a little hard to navigate, but she was great in explaining everything.

Friends suggested this spot for lunch and I won’t trust them again. lol This was awful. The NET burger that everyone raves about is overpriced, low quality and somehow has no flavor. It comes with nothing, not even chips, and they don’t have anything but gross American cheese or pepperjack. $20 for a burger that upset my stomach and was a few steps below Burger King, a small draft, and tip. The floors in this place are soft and mushy and every time someone walked by I thought floor would cave in. This place is living on nostalgia and a hard pass next time.

Respectfully requesting sound dampening measures in order to reduce the reverberations during peak times. The volume becomes so loud that one must speak loudly to communicate with a fellow patron across the same table.

This was a little gem hidden away. The food was excellent. My husband got the flight of beer and it was much larger than expected. Next time we are out that way we will probably be back.

Had a flight of 8 beer samples for 18 dollars and a steak and cheese sandwich to it for 14 dollars. It was alright. Nothing more than that.. Mens restroom didnt look like it has been cleaned in like 4-5 years..
