We heard about this place through our friends and glad we decided to try it. It doesn’t look like much from the outside (more like a generic store), but we were surprised by the decor on the inside. Very nicely put together and classy.
They seemed really busy when we arrived. There were a lot of different groups inside, but yet they were able to greet us and seat us right away.
I would have taken pictures of their menu, but it literally was a yearbook thick. There was a LOT of entrees to choose from– which we’ll be back to try. They have vegetarian, seafood, beef, chicken, and noodle dishes. I wished they had more dessert options, but they only had 1 (forgot what it was already). Maybe people are so full, no one orders dessert? We ordered from their lunch menu and was able to take a picture of their lunch menu. I’m sure it’s for within a certain time frame. I didn’t see it on the menu, but I’m guessing before 3pm (like other restaurants). The portions were perfect and the price was very reasonable. It comes with the entrees, soup, and a choice between an eggroll, 1 chicken wing, or a cream cheese won ton.
Each entrees that we ordered was delicious. We got the Mongolian beef (wished they didn’t put THAT many onions and had more green onions), beef with mixed vegetables, and their Shanghai dumplings. Their beef with mixed vegetables had a really nice sauce that complimented the dish. I’m usually not a tea person, but I have to recommend their Jasmin tea. It tasted like we were drinking flowers. It was so flavorful that we didn’t need sugar or honey.
There are lots of parking outside. Customer service was great. They were very attentive. We’re definitely coming back.

Came to San Diego for the 4th of July holiday and was looking for good restaurants—ended up trying this place and it was honestly amazing!
Food highlights: the chicken wings with golden garlic were packed with flavor, and the Chongqing spicy crispy chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.
The service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
If I’m visit in Temecula next time，I’ll be coming again.

Oh no! What happened to Chef K?!? Just ordered one of the family favorites – Orange Chicken – as takeout. The minute we opened the container at home we knew it wasn’t up to the usual Chef K standards. It tasted different, it smelled different, and instead of the usual juicy, tender, large pieces of white meat chicken there were many small, irregular tough and chewy chicken pieces. Most of the smaller pieces were just batter and no chicken!!! Several of the pieces had the batter – unmixed – clinging to the outside of the piece. (See photo) i feel like we just threw away $20 on inedible food! In addition, I have a horrible headache after eating a few pieces. That had never happened to me with Chef K food before. I seriously hope I don’t come down with food poisoning.

High quality Chinese food. My wife and I had the General Tao Chicken(white meat), Szechuan Garlic beef(tender and juice meat) and the house special fried rice. This is not your average Chinese restaurant. Great food and service. With that being said they do not have a liquor license so no wine or beer. Hopefully they get one soon.

We love Chef K by all means. It is not only the most deliciously acclaiming Chinese food in town, but their menu presentation as well as their peculiar choice of food that we were not able to see elsewhere, all make this place incredibly special to us. We have been coming to Chef K for the past two years and we will continue to come. Their service is spotless, the place is very clean, and the atmosphere is essentially accommodating. You won’t be disappointed.

Special attention to sauces and fried shrimp were in a light crispy coating ….generally surprised at how light and airy everything was—- one of our group expected large flat noodles in her dish and they remade it(we insisted on keeping and paying for the one she didn’t eat, packing it for home ) everything had such a deep rich taste without being heavy!!! I can’t get enough of this place. We are here every weekend. We have officially become regulars and they staff in this restaurant is always kind, friendly and attentive.
Their cheese won ton is what I call the real deal! Golden crisp and cheesy! Ye there is actually a pocket of cheese on these!
One of our favorite dishes is the Hong Kong crispy noodles. Enough for about 4 people and lots of veggies along with the 3 meats.
Another favorite is their Yang Chow fried rice. Simply delicious. The best i have had in this area.
Last but not least, their Sizzling Three Flavor Rice soup. OMG!!

I was skeptical about this place, but when I walked in I was caught off guard by the ambience and interior design of the place which gave a relaxing atmosphere.
For the food, it’s not like your typical take out place, because you can tell it was cooked with the intentions of the person enjoying the flavors and not just covered with sweet sauce or grease. I was super impressed by the quality and affordable prices for their dishes. Their lunch special ranges from 11.99-14.99 and was filling. Overall, I plan to come back here because the staff were super welcoming and the food was incredible. I can’t wait to come back and try everything on their menu!
*bonus points: the staff packs your food for you if you plan to take your leftovers home! ☺️
