We booked our baby shower here about 2 months before the date for the Side Car room. We thought we’d have about 25 guests at first, but we ended up having 50, which they were able to accommodate. The max capacity for that room is 60 people. They have a package where you can choose either a sit down (slightly more expensive), or a buffet and you get to choose four entrees. Drinks are included in the price (bloody marys, mimosas, wine, and beer). For food, we ended up picking the salmon with vegetables, steak, French toast with bacon and sausage, and penne vodka. It was a nice variety and our guests were saying how much they enjoyed the food. If you want dessert, it’s an extra fee per person so we ended up bringing a custom cake from the bakery across the street.

If you want to decorate, there is a rectangular table they can set up, and two round high-tops. I’m sure they can set up more if you want, but it depends on how many guests you have. I would say 50 guests was a little bit snug but it was doable. There is one bathroom in the room so with that many guests, some people ended up using the restaurant bathroom instead of waiting. There’s a sound system you can hook up to but only for iPhone because the android cable wasn’t working so if you have an android, be sure to bring your own cords. My only feedback would be the bar situation. We had two people working our event, so they were handling everything – food, cleanup, and the bar. I felt that our guests weren’t really able to take advantage of the bar because most of the time, no one was manning the bar, so there was confusion if it was self-serve or if they needed to wait for a bartender. If you can, I would splurge a little extra for the sit-down option because then maybe you can get carafes of drinks at each table. Or maybe you can get carafes with the buffet too, but it wasn’t something I thought to ask beforehand since I didn’t think it would be an issue for our guests to get a drink.

Overall, everything still went great and I would recommend Fitzgerald’s if you have a special event.

Sorry to write this but place has lost its touch. We’ve ordered from here since their opening ages ago but, since our last order we will most likely not return. We ordered dinner for pick up, 3 of the 5 entrees ordered were poorly cooked or inedible. Vegetable flat bread came burnt/black edges and completely cold (for reference it’s about a 7 minute drive from the home), steak ordered rare came medium well, no pink center and a kids macaroni and cheese ($15) tasted like boxed velveeta, processed cheese, cheese was so stiff the macaroni came out in one huge spoon. The two stars are just for the very nice staff member who took our order.

This little pub located right next to the Glen Ridge Police Station is a quaint homage to the 1920’s Decade. Adorning it’s walls are photographs of a bygone era, of people who lived back then that are long gone, and baseball mits from the old local Glen Ridge baseball team who are with us no more. It is fascinating and bittersweet to stare at these photos as you sit in the atmospheric dining area wondering what kind of people they were. The whole place feels reminiscent of the dining establishments they had back in the Roaring Twenties, not overally tacky and garish, but a bit lowkey and somewhat muted in its decor and design. I happen to enjoy the mood and vibe of the place; it’s not too loud or obnoxious. As for everything else: the meatloaf was pretty good and the service was excellent. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience!

Went for the first time a few weeks ago, place is super cute. Food selection is comfort, featured drink menu is delectable. Our server, Lynn, was fantastic! The food was excellent also! Need to go back and try the meatloaf!

We live relatively close by and asked ourselves why don’t we go more often? The pub is great, classic pub decorations with nicely added holiday decor. Great cocktails, solid food, friendly service, a great spot.

Family style restaurant with great service and friendly staff! I stopped in for dinner and I was truly impressed. Started with mushroom soup which was delicious, had the Fitzgerald’s burger and Asian style wings. Highly recommend this place.

I can not give anything less than a 5 Star review here. I went to go see my long term friend and Chef, Jef there and instead met the bartender and a few of the servers who were awesome, polite and extremely friendly. They made me feel as if I been going to eat and drink there for years even though it was my first visit. I had a Victory Prima Pils which is one of my favorite beers and also the Teriyaki Wings. Those wings could have fooled me for Legs and Thighs. LOL. All in All, it was worth the 1.5 hour drive from Hunterdon County to try this place.

We’ve been there several times. In the last two visits 6 burgers were ordered. None of them were cooked correctly. It wasn’t even close. One medium rare came very well done, two medium orders – one was too well done, the other rare!

Cone on now – it’s a burger.
