Went for a Quad. Two double shots latte. Found this coffee shoppe on Google Maps on the way to mystic. Glad I stopped here.
Place is cute. Plenty of seating. Interesting decorations. Great vibe. People sitting at tables both inside and out having conversations, and some people on computers.
Latte was great. Very strong. I like the flavor of the beans. If I am in the area again this will be my go to.

Such a cool coffee spot that offers a lot! I had a delicious smores hot latte and ordered the sausage egg and cheese sandwich that was so good. The place was packed on a Saturday morning in August and the cashiers did a great job moving the line and providing the food and drinks quickly! I would recommend to people visiting for a good spot for coffee and food! Sidenote, I’m totally going back to try their muffins

My wife and I visited this café after reading positive reviews and were genuinely looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, it fell well short of our expectations.

The most troubling part was how our order was handled. After waiting about 15 minutes, we noticed that every other customer’s name was called out when their order was ready—except my wife’s. Instead, the server only called out the names of the two drinks. When my wife asked to confirm whether they were hers, the server responded curtly that “the name is on the cup.”

That interaction left us uncomfortable and confused. Whether it was due to fear of mispronouncing her name, embarrassment, or something more concerning, we’ll never know. In today’s climate, experiences like this unfortunately raise questions about whether one is being singled out, and no customer should be left feeling that way.

As for the food and drinks: the double chocolate scone was dry and more cake-like than expected. The London Fog was acceptable, but the black iced tea was unexpectedly flavored.

Overall, between the uncomfortable service experience and the underwhelming quality, this is not a place we will be returning to.

I found this place and decided I’d try and support a local business instead of going to Dunkin’ for my coffee. I went in and ordered a cold brew, and they FILLED the cup with ice and then poured a couple of ounces of coffee in it! When I asked if I could have less ice and more coffee (the price is easily double dunkin’, I feel justified in asking), I was treated like I was personally stealing their rent money. It was barely a couple of sips worth of coffee, I got basically nothing and was gouged. Guess I’ll go back to Dunkin’ from now on, at least when I pay for coffee there I actually get some, and when I ask for less is I’m not insulted by the staff.

A truly excellent coffee shop with great food and even better coffee. This is definitely a must stop and we always enjoy coming here. Good baked goods, really good breakfast sandwiches and savory items.

Great coffee, I had the iced pumpkin spice latte which was better than Starbucks – I also love the little ice cubes. I would also recommend the pistachio affogato, my it has a really nice flavor (fresh, almondy, – almost as good as Italy)! This is a gem I found and I will be coming back!!

If you love coffee, truly, then Ashlawn is the destination. The best coffee in CT (along with Daybreak) and also that I remember having recently – and consistently it is outstanding. The lox they have and their bagels are also the most delicious I have had in CT. The cafe is heartwarming in the truest most unsentimental sense of the word. Go to Ashlawn. Come for the coffee, stay for the beach.

Ashlawn Farm Coffee is a beautiful staple of Old Saybrook and the Shoreline. I’ve been coming here almost every week since I moved to town in 2017. Drinks and food are always great. Everyone I’ve interacted behind the counter is super nice and welcoming as well. Highly recommend!!!

Accidentally left a review for one place after visiting a mini golf place lol
Ashlawn is a cozy and very friendly cafe with a load of bakery and drink options to soothe that little kid inside you. Locals know about it, so it has a lot of patrons coming through. But it is worth a few minutes wait in line for their amazing pastries!
