I has become a bit boujee with the warm rags but hey it was a great addition to the experience. We dine here a lot and quite frankly the new ownership’s food is better. It is a bit on the expensive side but that is to be expected downtown Aiken. The vibe is great, lighting a little low, and atmosphere is to be desired. The service was great, almost too many table visits but the service and attention to detail was welcoming. The shrimp vandavue (sp) is the absolute best dish on the menu and it is a starter. We had the wedge salad and pork dish (scallopini) Fourth or fifth visit and we live to dine here.

My son and I ate here to celebrate his 21st birthday. He ordered the short rib manicotti dish, and I ordered the wild boar osso buco. We also shared a blue cheese wedge salad, and a piece of raspberry pie for dessert with ice cream. Everything had amazing flavors. It was warm and properly prepared. There were good portions on the plates as well. It was a little empty because of the holiday, but I Evan, our waiter, did a good job of taking care of us. I do wish the raspberry pie had more raspberries in it, but the meat on my plate was so tender that it fell off of the bone. This made up for the raspberry pie being small. We will definitely return as it is a valuable asset to our community.

Beautiful place! Came here at opening at 5pm on Tuesday 10/14/2025 for a family members birthday dinner celebration! Our server Leah, was very polite and Very attentive! She remembered everyone’s orders! If You are coming here with a large group of 10 or more, expect to wait a minimum of an hour and 45 mins for Your food to come out! I had a weg salad with extra bacon. It was just ok! The combination of blue cheese crumbs and balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing is different! My wife had the Shrimp vindo! She stated it i was average! The other family members enjoyed the meals and drinks they had! Its kinda pricey for the small amount of food served to You, but it was an experience!

My friends and I went there for a birthday dinner last night and we kept asking ourselves. Why don’t we come here more often! First of all I thought that they closed at eight and usually I don’t get done with my day until later, but they said they still serve food until 9:30 PM. Now let’s talk about the service it was exceptional. The presentation was amazing and they give you warm towels for your hands before you eat. And the bar is awesome. I can’t say enough good things about it. And lastly, the food… we ordered the bison and it literally fell off the bone. I’ve never had bison and it was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had and I am from NYC Area where there’s a plethora of amazing restaurants. This is the top.

I was in town visiting family and we chose Malia’s for dinner. We made a reservation for 3 at 6:30pm. We were kindly greeted as we walked in and we loved the new decor. We were then seated in the small side room to the right that has 3 tables. Everything started off ok, then soon declined. We felt like we were forgotten because we were seated away from the center area. Service became worse. Our waitress, Paige, was nice at the start, but we felt as if we were being rushed. We were there on a Wednesday evening and there were plenty of empty tables. We were very easy and only there for 1 & 1/2 hours. We felt like we were bothering her. We asked three times (2 different employees) for wine/water refills, which we waited 15 minutes for. Just as we were getting up to find someone to cancel them, they were brought out in a hurry. The wedge salad is good, very small.
A small, adorable, well behaved dog was sitting in a chair at the table next us. Her head rested on the table with her owners. She was let down and went over and vomited between our table and hers. Numerous employees noticed it and walked past/over it several times without getting it up. It continued to sit there as we ate our meals. Then, an employee stepped in it and continue on as if not to see it.
We really wanted this to be great and see that the new ownership was going well, but we were terribly disappointed. We unfortunately will not be back. For the price of food and atmosphere, The Willcox is a much better option. I truly do not like writing such a negative review, but hopefully they will improve the issues we in countered tonight.

I use to love this place. Don’t know about it now. It just seems so cramped now. Did they add more tables? The food now, meh. For the high end price, you expect, WOW. That’s not what you get. My original review below was a definite 5 star, but I have to change it now.

Love this place, food is great and wait staff was excellent. Ambiance was very classy and cozy, only thing I wish they had, would be a dress code. Apparently you can walk in off the street in flip flops, shorts, and tshirt.

A friend and I stopped in during Amp the Alley. We sat in the courtyard and grabbed a couple of drinks and some apps (Brussels, gnocchi and baked feta). Everything was a delight! We both rated the Brussels at the top of the list. The service was impeccable as well. I highly recommend dining here and can’t wait to go back!

First time my wife and I visited Malia’s in downtown Aiken. Decor nice, small bar and comfortable seating.
Our entrees were wild boar and scallops. Both we well presented. Wild Boar was fall off the bone and I really enjoyed it. My wife had the scallops, tasty but there were only quantity two, which we felt would be OK for a starter but not sufficient for an entree. The homemade raspberry pie and ice cream was delicious. Good selection of bottled beer.
Service was excellent, albeit a tad expensive.
Would definitely recommend this place and we would come here again when we are next in town.

I dined tonight after hearing great things from friends. We are a “support local” couple and enjoy trying new restaurants. Our waitress wasn’t personable, nor was she welcoming. I advised her I was gluten-free and she was clueless about the menu or allergen friendly items. She came back and blankly gave me an option of Brussels sprouts, pork, or steak. The brussel sprouts were very good, as were the green beans. My filet was served almost cold and overcooked. Since she didn’t know if the fries that were included with the steak were allergen friendly, she said I could swap for the green beans. When our bill came, I was charged an extra $8 for the side, even though I never received fries. I prefer other restaurants in the area that welcome us in the door and serve hot food. The restaurant was also freezing. We were very excited to try Malia’s but won’t go out of our way to return.

I liked the location. They had lots of space and few people were there. The servers were friendly. We went there for brunch. The menu was limited; however, I highly recommend their grits-those were really good. Their egg salad was also great. I tried the rabbit stew and my wife tried their BLT. My wife thought the fries were good, but the BLT was plain. The rabbit and dumpling stew was salty in a thick gravy with no dumplings. I didn’t finish it and don’t recommend it. Coffees were also good.
