Highly recommend!!!
Food is amazing (highly recommend fried chicken bao buns!). Hosts are very friendly upon arrival—service is excellent. Food and drinks did not disappoint—everything was the perfect portion of food. Then after dinner a nice walk inside the compound is an absolute plus to the whole experience. Love the atmosphere here!

Beautiful interior and ambiance. Situated inside and art gallery with both indoor and outdoor seating. Great Asian fusion food. Excellent service from the staff. A special appreciation for our waitress Sarah, who took great care of us with good food and drink suggestions.

What a hidden gem. The food is fantastic, service is excellent, the drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming. So glad this place opened up in my neighborhood. Looking forward to when they start serving brunch. Parking can be tough, but they have parking off the side/back. Highly recommend this place.

Incredible food, super cool space, and phenomenal staff. I have been there for both dinner and brunch and both were amazing. The menu is a great mix of comfort food and an expansion of palette. The drink menu as well is very intricate and detailed, that goes for the cocktails and mocktails! Excited to see this place continue to blossom and gain traction. If you want a cool experience for brunch/dinner please try Union – the location “Compound” also hosts the best events. Long Beach needs more amazing places like this, a place for new food, community, and events. Photoed was my brunch of coconut rice with sausage, avocado, and an egg. My girl friends got the new orange espresso martini (chefs kiss) the fried chicken sando, and the shrimp toast – we cleaned the plates!

Concept is cool and workers are friendly. You can preview the art and even do crafts while you wait- we had to wait >30min though. The bao was not worth it at $14 for just 2, and the pancit was mediocre at best. However the burger was quite delicious !

Coolest spot in Long Beach. Food was tasty, and the cocktails were fun and well balanced. The space is beyond interesting with art and layout rivaling the best of Los Angeles. Can not wait to come back and try the patio next.

There’s something missing from this place. The service felt soulless and the space has so much potential. The flow doesn’t quite make sense to me. It was almost empty and I couldn’t wait to leave because I felt like the waitress didn’t want me there. Not my favorite feeling. But food did come out quickly.
I do LOVE the outdoor space they have, but again it feels like it’s not being fully taken advantage of. The food was good and so was my mocktail.

Our organization recently hosted our annual meeting at Union/Compound, and it worked so well for our needs. The indoor dining space was perfect for our event, with a layout that allowed for a podium, plenty of guest seating, and a designated space for our slide show. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that everything we needed was set up exactly right.
One of the highlights was definitely the passed appetizers – perfect for the setting and such interesting flavor; our guests raved about the variety and quality of the food, and the restaurant’s attention to detail really made it a hit.
If you’re looking for a venue that combines a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and a team that’s committed to making your event smooth and enjoyable, this is your place.

The food is amazing. We came with a party of 10 to celebrate my son’s birthday. Every dish was delicious but the appetizers were a highlight. The service was amazing.
The space is beautiful with the art exhibits and relaxing outdoor seating area.
We had dinner but are definitely coming back for brunch.

Made a reservation for 4pm and didn’t realize they “close for brunch and reopen for dinner” at 4 so we were first ones there! Not too busy and were able to explore without a crowd.
The museum side of the compound was so cool, like what a perfect concept to merge artwork and food + drink. Pieces are also sprinkled throughout the place too so there’s art literally everywhere!
We got there a little before our reservation and the host said we can grab a drink at the bar while we wait for them to reopen for dinner. Bar was loaded with high quality choices. Had the Banana Boat and it was so good. Their aperitif selection was expansive too!
Food choices were new and exciting, the small plates are anything but small! Salad was great, Cassava comforting, Bao Buns pillowy, burger was amazing.
All staff was so sweet and nice too. Overall a great experience. Can’t wait to be back to try other plates.
