53rd St., Houlihan’s closed its Fairway Shops location in 2019 after its parent company went bankrupt. The space has remained vacant ever since.

Wasn’t feeling the usual array of fast food lunch options today and decided to order Houlehan’s new “So Hot Right Now Chicken Sandwich”. It’s their take on a Nashville hot chicken sando and, I have to say, it was freaking awesome. The chicken was so tender and juicy, breading was packed with flavor and the bun was perfect. If you’re waiting in line at Popeyes, get out and swing by Houlehan’s!

Food is always fantastic. We’ve never had an issue with food at any of their locations. The service was great. Our waiter was very polite and accommodating without being stiff. He was busy, as it was a busy time, but he seemed to take very good care of all of his tables with ease. He even brought me an extra large glass of ice water because I jokingly told him I was very thirsty (pregnancy does that to you). We enjoyed our dinner and will be back.

The management of this particular location should not advertise a happy hour. There is not ample seating in the bar. They have four small booths and noisy bar seating. And, they will not allow you to order from the happy hour menu in the rest of restaurant. The wait staff clearly recognizes the ridiculousness of this. The food is good. Service is excellent. Just don’t go during hour hour and expect a happy hour.

My family and I eat at this Houlihan’s several times each month. The food is consistently great and the service is excellent. Christina is an outstanding server. We always ask to sit in her section and I’ve noticed many other people do as well. The last time I was here I noticed one group was willing to wait to be seated in her section even though there were tables open in a different section. That is the sign of a great server and Houlihan’s is very lucky to have her. Quality service like that is hard to find and is a large reason why we come to this Houlihan’s so often.

Had the fish & chips. Fish was wonderful, They’re coleslaw wasn’t for me, it was strange.
Great server, even got to enjoy happy hour this time. Hostess still needs more training, we asked about sitting in happy hour section, she said nothing available, sat in different section, we had clear view of empty booth. Manager needs to step it up, with training & customer service.
