The only downside was the beverages the Sprite in my gin was flat, and the gin itself felt a bit light for the price. That said, it was still nice to have a decent meal and a couple of drinks to mark the end of Christmas Eve in a relaxed setting.
The scenery was nice too if you like being around wineries.
The presentation was equally impressive, with the dish artfully arranged and garnished to enhance its visual appeal. The accompanying sides complemented the main course beautifully, adding depth and variety to the meal.
Beyond the exceptional food, the restaurant’s ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a comfortable setting for an enjoyable dining experience. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service that further elevated the evening.
For anyone seeking a memorable meal featuring expertly prepared goat, this restaurant is a must-visit. It’s a testament to how traditional ingredients can be transformed into gourmet delights.
I work in the food industry and have a good understanding of food quality and standards. My family came straight from work, and we chose to dine here, but honestly, this place ruined our family celebration. We actually had to go to another restaurant after this because we were still hungry.
It’s hard to believe that after spending this amount of money, we had to eat elsewhere.
I will never ever recommend this to someone.
From the outside, the restaurant looks attractive and is located in a beautiful Swan Valley spot. Unfortunately, once you step inside and sit down, you immediately start wondering whether to stay or leave.
There are no real restaurant vibes. The chairs are uncomfortable, and the chair covers were dirty. Customer service was poor — the staff member serving us was handling Uber orders along with our table and literally threw the food in front of us. One of the dishes was half burnt.
The lighting is another issue. The chandelier above our table was extremely bright and completely ruined the dining atmosphere. Walking towards the toilets was unbearable due to a strong, unpleasant smell — bad enough to make you feel sick. On top of that, we could see insect spray cans sitting on the kitchen work benchtops, which was very concerning.
This was the second time we wasted our money here. It also makes you question the authenticity of some of the 5-star reviews, which appear to come mainly from food bloggers and do not reflect the actual dining experience we had. It seems the owners are more focused on hosting big functions rather than improving cleanliness, customer service, food quality, and investing in better furniture and lighting to create a proper dining experience.
Very disappointing overall.
However, I was concerned about hygiene and safety in the kitchen area. I noticed people who didn’t appear to be staff going in and out of the kitchen. Some individuals were not wearing gloves or hairnets, and it didn’t seem like there were clear PPE policies being followed. That was a bit worrying from a food safety perspective.
Additionally, someone was using a leaf blower nearby, which made the environment quite noisy and uncomfortable while dining.
Overall, the food was good, but I believe better hygiene practices and clearer safety procedures would greatly improve the experience.
