Finally weve got a great chinese in elgin again! Been a little while now where ive thought elgins chinese food restaurants hadnt been as good as i remembered. First time trying star city tonight and ill definitely be back. Food is affordable and really good. Id definitely recommend i personally loved it.

Absolutely outstanding Chinese since the new owner. Best value for money and quality of the food as well blows every other Chinese out of the water.

Can’t fault the service! So nice and welcoming over the phone and in person which really brightens your day at a time like this. The food is always amazing and fairly priced, plus they add a portion of spring rolls for free.. We recently starting going here and will never change again as the food is great but the service is what makes us come back every week.. Cannot recommend highly enough

After waiting over 45mins in the takeaway, I had to throw it in the bin the crispy chilli chicken was soggy and was so over powered by chilli it was inedible (the chicken was also frozen not fresh). The salt n pepper chips they charge £4.40 for were actually frozen cooked chips (which were still hard) sprinkled with paprika seasoning, not nice at all – also thrown in the bin. The beef and duck with egg fried rice was very dry, my husband loves chinese food and said it was ok but he’s had much better elsewhere. Unfortunately we won’t be getting our food from here again.

Tried them all in Elgin, this Chinese still do Chowmain the old way which I love, rich in dark soya, special Chowmain comes with large prawns 8 of them. Other takeaways I have had use those new gloopy noodles (seems the new trend) , and mini prawns.
The bonus is they always give you prawn crackers for free and sometimes free spingrolls wong tongs etc

Will never be going back avoid at all costs all the family had food poisoning and was made unwell they all had noodles and lucky I had rice and I was ok but will defo not be going back the only good thing about it was the chips and my boyfriend had to get rushed to hospital as it affected him so much so if u don’t want food poisoning then avoid at all costs not worth £30 odd pound
