The food at this restaurant does not taste home cooked. The fried mushrooms were obviously previously frozen. They were hard as rocks and over cooked. The fried chicken was also seriously over cooked and most likely previously frozen. I’m really not sure how this place stays in business. It was just plain awful.

Well 3 stars is generous but only cz i hope they READ these reviews. I’m a “Yankee” yet i can fix ‘southern food’ WAY BETR than wat we got there! My fried mushrooms were BLACK on the outside & wen i sent em back they seemed 2 think it wz bcz they were frozen on the inside so wen i got the new order they were just as BLACK & hard! My friend saw it 2 so i wz relieved 2 kno i wasn’t losing my mind! And again they thought it wz bcz they were still frozen inside! & EVERYTHING else we had wz bland, even the pies! They looked good but tasted lik air, never had such poor food & dessert EVER b4 til I ate here! I tried 3 diff desserts & they were all the same, bland! If you want southern food ur best bet is 2 stay @ home & cook it yourself! Sorry Doolittle’s! Hope you see this & take my advice! I’ll gladly try again! 🙂

Quaint little place. A bit strange on first visit, as you are not sure to sit yourselves, or how the ordering process should flow.

They advertise home made food but the food we had was obviously frozen and NOT homemade. They were out of Mac and cheese and it was not very comfortable for our large party.
