About the 5th time I’ve visited and there were no potatoes. At this point it is not disappointing its more disturbing that the chain of management is not addressing any of the issues.

We placed an app order 8 mins before we got to the restaurant no one was in drive thru they asked us to pull up our food was not ready several cars went thru while we waited we finally went in to check on order there was about 7 ppl just standing around the manager was leaning on the counter looking on Facebook on her phone our order was $60+ every fry box was half full and the fries were stone cold! 3 or the sandwiches we ordered were WRONG and not what we ordered
Sorry excuse of a restaurant! Won’t be back!

This location is horrible. The food and the service are terrible. The manager is not customer obsessed at all and had a funky attitude when THEY made the mistake. Never again. I’ll drive to another location 15 minutes the opposite direction before I come here again.

I stopped by this Wendy’s in Madison to grab my daughter something to eat on the way to softball practice. The drive-thru line was really long, so I decided to go inside since there didn’t seem to be a line.

When I walked in, I waited for a moment. One of the employees (who I later realized was the manager) was helping other guests, so I assumed I would be next. She never acknowledged me—not even a simple “I’ll be right with you.” I noticed she seemed busy and a little flustered, so I tried to be patient.

A mom and her son came in behind me and walked around to speak with the manager. The manager’s tone toward them was noticeably rude and made me uncomfortable just watching. The son, who seemed like a kid, was clearly nervous, but she spoke to him in an intimidating way—asking for his name, making him spell it, and just overall lacking kindness or professionalism.

During all this, I was still standing there with no greeting or acknowledgment. Two different employees came in and clocked in, but neither made eye contact or said anything to me. Both were immediately directed elsewhere by the manager. By that point, it was clear that customer service here was not a priority, so I decided to leave.

I understand that fast food can be fast-paced and stressful, but basic courtesy—like a hello or letting someone know they’ll be helped shortly—goes a long way. What I experienced today was the opposite. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and disappointing. Management here needs to be reminded that treating customers with kindness and respect should always come first.

Very clean restaurant and quick moving lines. Had a salad and the arugula was on the edge of being soiled so it made it taste funny, but it’s a one time thing most likely. The salad lid also did not fit the box so I could not save left overs. All other food was great and so we’re the toys for the kids. Line for the bathroom can get pretty long since the bathrooms are one person/family style. Ice machine was broken but they quickly got a solution so people could still get ice. Modern look restaurant, wish I could’ve sat down and stayed a bit on the comfy chairs.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received at the Wendy’s location in Gluckstadt. As a manager myself, and someone with prior experience working for Wendy’s, I was particularly struck by the substandard performance. My interaction with an employee named Latasha was exceptionally negative; her customer service skills were severely lacking.

Beyond this individual instance, I was also concerned by the overall atmosphere. The prevalence of seemingly inexperienced, youthful employees suggested a potential lack of adequate training and supervision. A well-managed fast-food establishment requires a team capable of delivering consistently high levels of customer service, and this location appeared to be falling short.

While I understand that staffing challenges are common in the industry, the experience I had at the Gluckstadt Wendy’s was far below the standard I’ve come to expect from your franchise. I value the convenience of having a Wendy’s nearby, but the negative experience I encountered makes it preferable for me to travel further to the Madison location (where I’ve had positive experiences with Latoya).

I strongly suggest a comprehensive review of employee training procedures at the Gluckstadt restaurant. Resources like online leadership training videos (available on platforms such as YouTube) could be invaluable in improving the skills and effectiveness of your team. I hope you will consider additional investment in employee development to ensure the consistent delivery of quality customer service.

Not only were the employees rude, when I got back with my food I was missing my burger. This is not the first time this restaurant has messed up more order or been rude to me. I have given this place multiple chances but now I will never come back. When I told them thank you for handing me my food, no one responded. I said thank you again louder in case they didn’t hear me, and they just looked at me and ignored me.

**** MY REVIEW ALONG WITH THE MULTIPLES BEFORE NEED TO BE ADDRESSED! WHY IS THIS LOCATION STILL IN BUSINESS ?? ****

I am absolutely mortified at this location! I come from a big city where I learned about franchise and corporate chained restaurants! It’s sad to say you can tell the difference solely off the service received! Since living here I have had issues at this location! I have called corporate, received refunds, and experienced better service at other locations! The downside is this one is the closest to home and convenient! I went today and I do believe until something’s change it will be my last! I asked for the elderly woman’s name who confirmed she was the manager and her response was “why”? I ordered a mobile along with a drive thru order which I had incomplete/cold fries and missing nuggets! There was a young woman at the window who asked me with a stank face what’s wrong with the fries? I asked would you accept fries like this and she said “they’re fine to me”! I am calling corporate once again as they will refund but the concern here is this location should be aware of its employees and the inability to follow WENDYS standards for service! This has to be the wordy Wendy’s location I have ever visited! Good luck to anyone who visits here!
