Stopped here on a whim on a Wednesday night and it was arguably the best Italian food I have ever had.
I did the tasting menu at the recommendation of the bartender – which was 3 plates. Meatballs were amazing. The pasta was probably my favorite. Short rib was also delicious with the potato purée.
Be prepared to be full when you leave. Will definitely be back the next time I visit Boston.
This place is so memorable
Honestly, the BEST food and incredible service
For real, the food is so good we wanted to cry.
We’ve been craving it since our last visit a few months ago.
We were so glad they were able to squeeze us in before the blizzard of ’26.
And I must say ALL staff members were amazing – so attentive, efficient, hospitable, and well trained in the culture of the restaurant. We got anything and everything we needed promptly and accurately. The manager was consistently checking on all tables to ensure everyone was happy with their food and service too. I must say this is a must-go for us every time we visit Boston.
Sat at the bar on a crowded Tuesday night and was made welcome right away by a great bartender and I believe the owner. Went right in for what they’re known for: meatballs and Osso Bucco – fantastic! And their sauce was just as good! It looks, feels and tastes like what a classic North End Italian restaurant should. One of the best in North End.
All of the staff were extremely personable and attentive. Food was absolutely worth the price as you could tell everything was intentionally crafted with the freshest ingredients. Even the plating was phenomenal—they made sure every bite was balanced. I had the scallops and they were cooked to perfection.
After being so blown away by the dinner we HAD to try dessert and were not disappointed. Best tiramisu we’ve ever had; you can tell they use quality espresso. Chocolate cake was decadent and perfectly complimented by the raspberry sauce.
Overall, great atmosphere and a gorgeous location coupled with authentic, quality food and great service. Highly recommend and will totally visit again next time we’re in the area.
Restaurant is located on the second floor in a cozy environment that can get loud depending on what time you have reservations.
Gentleman at the door was very welcoming and showed us to our table right at the window looking outward to the street which was great people watching from an elevated location. Restaurant was packed and I would recommend reservations be made .
Cocktails to start were a good generous pour and well prepared : Negroni was quite good.
Appetizers we got a side of grilled asparagus and the figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped with prosciutto and a drizzle of balsamic glaze . The figs were delicious and the perfect accompaniment for the cocktails . Asparagus was just okay , a bit too stalky for my preference.
Main dishes were the Pesto with pancetta topped with burrata made with Gluten Free pasta . Well prepared flavorful and heavy on the pesto which we prefer . Nice to see they offer all their pasta dishes with a GF option . The other main was their Tagliatelle Bolognese da Abruzzo which was a hearty ragu slow simmered with beef , veal and pancetta topped with freshly grated Parmesan. I really enjoyed this .
Overall we left satisfied with the entire experience despite being loud and a bit cramped in due to the small size of the upstairs restaurant .
I would possibly come back but would want to try other Italian restaurant options in the neighborhood for comparison purpose .
