Do not be fooled; this is real pizza! And it has absolutely no business being as good as it is in a dang gas station. If you look in the kitchen you can see they make the dough fresh, and I’m betting as a pizza boy myself that the sauce and cheese are made/grated fresh as well.
My only criticism: it could’ve been cooked a bit harder, but my broiler fixed that.
10/10 probably the best in the area

Best pizza in Durango and it’s in a convenience store. Big NY style pieces. The crust got the crunch. ☮️ ❤️
Edit: our family is leaving the area. For two plus years this has been my families go to for pizza night. Never fails. Thanks y’all!

This is legit good pizza. Sauce is very garlicky which I like. I dropped this pizza in my front seat taking it out of my car so I’m sure it looked at lot better beforehand. Fresh jalapeños is a great touch. This Is better pizza than I ever expected to get out of a convenient store and maybe the best pizza in Durango.

Wow, definitely surprised by the taste, as ex NY’r myself I have high standard for pizza. As a recent transplant to Durango I find mostly all restaurants seem to mainly sell Burgers or Pizza, and thus far only have tried a few breweries and HOMESLICE (not bad pizza, but bonus points for dog friendly).
Finally got around to trying Johnny’s Pizza which is tucked inside the Roadhouse Deli south of Elmore’s Corner and they really are cooking up a great pie. I ordered online and for safety chose the crisp option which I definitely enjoyed, maybe I will try regular next time. But overall flavor was first to appreciate, texture of crust and bottom where a strong 8 out of 10, but the subtle hints of garlic in the red sauce is really the memorable part.
Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu.
Ps they have a deli case that sells pre-sliced and wrapped desserts, not sure if made in house or not? but if so, any place selling homemade Cannoli’s is legit.

This is my kind of place, off the beaten path & looks like it’s straight out of New York. The sauce was nice garlicky & savory. Crust done to a beautiful crisp. I’ve tried over 40 different pizza joints across the USA and this right here is in the top 10.

Great NY style pizza. I have lived in several states from the Rocky Mountain West to New England including the Deep South, this is now one of my favorites NY style pizza restaurants.

The pizzas are huge and delicious. It’s in a convenience store and a little out of town, but it’s totally worth the trip. We had the supreme and the hot Hawaiian. The cook was unprofessional and messed up our order, but the lady behind the counter was humorous and helped us get the order right.

Went on a lark with pizza sounding good, but never having a Johnny Pizza, it was a bit of a question. Question answered, Johnny Pizza is a well-done pizza both tasty and light. The pizza seemed larger than its stated size. The crust was thin and light in a positive way. I ate more pizza than normal. With Johnny Pizza providing such friendly service with great pizza, we will be back. I would recommend it for your next pizza.

The pizza is delicious. They are fast and efficient. This is not a sit-down restaurant , it is a convenient store with cooked and take and bake pizza. So the atmosphere is what it is. I came for the pizza and wasn’t disappointed.

Went out of our way to get a large pizza a few weeks ago because the first time we went there it was good. This time the pizza was totally burnt and awful. At over $30 it was a complete waste of money. We will not be back nor will we recommend them. Don’t waste your time driving there eat more local like Homeslice or even frozen pizza is better.
