I ordered from Gate of India through the Too Good To Go app, and the food was just average. The dishes lacked flavour and didn’t really meet the standard I expected. The one good thing is that the prices are affordable, but overall the taste could definitely be improved.

No idea what I had but it was delicious.
Found them on an app to save food from the garbage.
It was a veg curry with rice and Naan. There were 4 fresh Pakora balls also but there was no chance of them making it the photo!
I will definitely return. Thanks for the great dinner.

Ordered Tikka Masala through Skip and the packaging itself was disgusting. We don’t even understand what dish they packed and called it ‘Tikka masala’. Four small chewy boneless chicken pieces in a sugary curry.
This is by far the worst Indian dish (and very poor customer service obv) we’ve ever tried in Canada. SKIP THIS PLACE!

Visited this place for the first time. The atmosphere was warm ,and Monica was so polite and friendly. Loved the food here, specially mango shake, everything we ordered was flavourful.

We have been going there for 30 years. Menu and food are consistent and you know what you are ordering will be just like the last time. Easy atmosphere, no pressure and a quiet dinner. Everyone that we know that appreciates Indian/Kashmiri food raves about it. It’s the only place we go to for a treat and/or take out. Try it. You’ll love it!!

The inside of the restaurant is designed great and reflected India was surprised by the fact it was opened on the 1980’s. The food is priced so affordable irrespective of the location. The food tastes average, but for 10$ they are serving special lunch which includes a non veg dish along with rice, snacks and sweet based on the day. which is a fantastic thing for the price.
Ordered bhatura for trying but it was not the authentic bhatura which i was expecting though tastes decent. The restaurant is good for giving it a try.

A Cozy little Indian restaurant. Serving authentic Indian cuisine. From appetizers to desert. Even Indian pale ales and lagers. Lol.. had to say that. Clean, very friendly . Great food! First time for me in an Indian restaurant. Not a serving I didn’t like. Spicy and fresh.

I started coming here over 30 years ago. The owner said they have been opened for 35 years so I guess I’ve been coming here since it opened. It’s a staple of Hamilton. They have a traditional tandoor oven and the tandoori chicken and vindaloo is to die for! We didn’t have it today but chose to do a meal combo for two. It was delicious!! I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving real authentic Indian food made in a traditional tandoor oven that we brought her from India.

If I could give less then one star I would. The worst Indian food of all time. Flavourless. Butter chicken doesn’t even remotely resemble butter chicken. Lady at the front has no idea what’s going on. I walked in and said I’m here to pick up and she replied “pick up what?” With a confused look on her face. We threw the food out.
