I am absolutely in disbelief in how this cost $45+ and is said to feed 2-4 people. The containers were not even fully filled. We got more SALAD than we did meat. The restaurant used to be generous and gave great portions, container sizes have shrunk, prices have gone up. Ridiculous. You’ve lost a customer.

I love the food here and the prices and portions are good. But every time I get it delivered they will stuff my salad/Mac salad in the same container with the hot chicken and rice. By the time it gets to me the lettuce is warm and wilted. I’d love this place even more if they would put the cold and warm items in separate containers. It ruins the cold items every time. Otherwise it’s great!

I visit Makai Grill very often, and usually food is good, but today was not the day! Rice is hard on both musubis and rice scoops. Teriyaki chicken is dry and doesn’t really have teriyaki sauce on it and it’s a bit dry. Mac salad is okay. Not sure how long the musubis were there for but I’m sure rice wasn’t supposed to be hard.

I’m told Makai Island Grill has options other than their Nobel Prize winning mini bowl. Like every other urban legend, this too, has no merit. There is only one item on the menu to concern yourself with. BEHOLD! the Makai mini teriyaki bowl in all its simple and near perfect glory.
Two generous scoops of white rice, a pile of grilled teriyaki chicken, a couple dashes of Japanese finishing seasoning and it wouldn’t be the most haole of haole dishes on earth without an egregious slathering of spicy teriyaki sauce. Plus one in the bag please. I may need it for personal reasons later. I feel your judging stares, your puzzled looks, your elite level discernment.
Every time I walk in, the staff puts on an Oscar worthy performance by making me think they don’t hate me that much snd that is one of the few times I’ll smile that dsy. The other smile will come when my fat face devours that mini teriyaki bowl in like, five bites. Maybe seven.
Check out the pictures and see why calling the bowl “mini”, is like calling the business end of John Holmes cute. That thing’s not cute! It’s a freaking felony attached to a kinda-human. Seriously, ATTEMPTED MURDER every time that dude got down. Like Thor’s Thunder Stick.

The food was delicious. The teriyaki chicken and steak are delicious. The poke I don’t recommend wasn’t cold and I’ve definitely had better poke. The rice and macaroni is fantastic.

Been wanting to try this place for ages and finally able to while visiting Las Vegas. The food itself is top notch full with flavour and great value. I got a 3 meat combo with katsu, chicken teriyaki, and tuna poke. The portions were very big and kept me full for the day! Staff working here were also great! Reccomended for anyone visiting Vegas craving Hawaiian BBQ!

Bro who ever the cook was on Monday, June 23 at around 5-7pm, do a better job of cooking this. The chicken katsu is hard as a rock and doesn’t taste fresh. Also the teriyaki steak is so blah… like yall literally ain’t put no effort or care into the meal. It legit ruin my day, because I had to spend money on this and now I also have to stay hungry cuz the food sucks I can’t even finish this crap. Like bro do better

Had uber eats to delivery the food. It came in a reasonable time where the food was still warm, however the food it self wasn’t fresh. The Hawaiian poke was not good at all. I didn’t bother to call them to complain. I gave the food to two homeless people who I asked if they would like the food.
