Kathmandu MomoCha was founded in 2017 by Mandy and Sam after relocating to Seattle from Nepal. Missing the authentic flavors of home, they created Kathmandu MomoCha to share traditional Nepalese street food with the Pacific Northwest. Starting as a pop-up at farmers markets, breweries, and local events, they introduced many first-time guests to handmade momos and Himalayan flavors. With over 25 years of combined food production experience and 20 years of hospitality, food & beverage, sales, and marketing experience, the founders focus on quality, authenticity, and warm hospitality. Today, Kathmandu MomoCha operates pop-ups and food trucks across Seattle and Washington, proudly serving authentic Nepalese momo

I absolutely love eating at Kathmandu Momcha! The food here is incredible, especially their authentic Nepalese dumplings (momos). The jhol momos were amazing—so flavorful and truly authentic. I also tried the noodles and chicken dumplings combo, which was great value for money and very satisfying.
The place is very clean, the staff are extremely friendly, and the owner is very sweet and welcoming. You can really tell they care about both their customers and the quality of the food they serve. If you’re looking for authentic momos and a warm, welcoming place to eat, I highly recommend Kathmandu Momcha!

I initially used to visit rarely given the food was a little on the bland side (all options) and the wait time was huge (10-15 mins)
I am not sure what happened but one recent visit changed all of that – the newly introduced Garlic Chilli momos are amazing! Perfectly balanced sweet & spice, a must try. As an added bonus, the wait time under 5 minutes.

This was not good and I would not recommend to anyone. The restaurant was empty when I ordered around 12:30pm and it took 30 mins for my food to come out. 2 guys in the back not prepping my food till I asked them where my food was after 10 mins of waiting. I ordered the non-veg meal combo for $20 and I got 1 chicken, 2 pork, 3 vegan, and 3 Spinach momos. I’m pretty sure this order was wrong. Absolutely no explanation why when handing me the order. Sauce was way too small. Drinks weren’t available for the combo which its supposed to come with. Food tasted very bland and mushy. Nothing like momo’s I’ve craved from other Nepalese restaurants. Awful awful. I will not come back.

First time trying Nepalese dumplings! I got the lunch combo and enjoyed getting to try two different types of dumplings. The garlic fries were good too. I wish the hot sauce was spicier but all in all this was great

Vegan momos were average in taste. The hot sauce was just full of red chilies but not really spicy. Overall the momos were not flavourful.

I stopped by for a weekday lunch after a doctor’s appointment and it was a great experience. The lunch combo is affordable and delicious, and they have a good variety of meal options. The service was fast and the staff was very kind and attentive. Recommend if you’re in the SLU area!
