Quaint, unassuming Korean BBQ spot and offer all the highlights of Korean fare. They serve good portions of good quality bulgogi (not too fatty and not drenched in sauce). They also had special combos with bulgogi and spicy tofu soup served with banchan. Medium spiciness was not very spicy so it complemented the flavors rather than overpowering them. They offer Kloud and Terra beers along with soju. The food comes out very quickly!

This place has phenomenal beef bulgogi!! There was a rly nice char and grill flavor on them and they were also perfectly juicy ‍↕️ definitely recommend!

We also got the galbitang, mixed soondubu, and the mul naengmyum which were all pretty good as well!

Came on a Tuesday evening and there wasn’t much of a wait either

On Mother’s Day, our family gathered at this Korean restaurant to celebrate. While the food was absolutely delicious and we cleaned our plates of every dish ordered, even the side dishes, the service left much to be desired.

The servers began clearing our tables before we had even finished eating, making us feel rushed and pressured to leave quickly. It was as if they were pushing us out the door before we could fully enjoy our meal.

The flavors and quality of the Korean cuisine were top-notch, but the rushed service put a damper on what should have been a leisurely family celebration. If the restaurant could work on allowing diners to savor their food at their own pace, it would greatly improve the overall dining experience.

Nice hidden gem, legit Korean cuisine. All the locals know about this spot. Good eats, good prices, good service. They give many banchan items, I got half Daeji Bulgogi + Dak Gui (Spicy Pork + Grilled Chicken) and Seafood Pancake. Also pictured is Combo with Bulgogi + Soondubu Jjigae (Spicy Beef + Soft Tofu Stew. DEFINITELY give it a try, they don’t disappoint

Had quick bite after work, small Korean restaurant, had the hot stone pot mixed vegetables rice, it was tasty, also cold noodle was cool and refreshing, the broth seem little bland but it was still good, perfect for hot weather. The side dishes were actually more tasty then the main dishes. The Korean BBQ beef, kal bi was little too salty for my taste but others will probably enjoy them. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I go to this place every Friday to get this goat soup. It is amazing. You can choose either a goat soup for 1 serving or 2-3 servings. We chose 2-3 serving size goat soup because we were two. My friend had this goat soup for the first time at this place and he really liked it.

Korean people usually eat goat soup during the summer as a comfort food. Goat meat in Eastern medicine is known to make ur stomach warm. Anyways, goat soup at this place is really fresh. It can be spicy. Also contains lots of sesame leaves and other green vegetables which are good for your health.

Also their side dish tastes really good and fresh.

Kind of pricey for the portion size but I guess that’s normal for KBBQ and Korean dishes. The tofu soup has a fishy smell but it was DELICIOUS! Probably one of the best that I’ve tried. I would highly come back.

We live in Castro Valley, and the Sister House has been our go to place whenever we crave for Korean food, which is pretty much almost weekly. We used to have a go to Korean restaurant much closer to us which closed around 2018, so we have been going to Sister House almost regularly since.

The food are good. You will not go wrong with whatever you order from here but our favorites are the seafood pancake, spicy pork, galbi, tofu soup, ramyun, and the spicy chicken from time to time. You can tell that it is good Korean food by seeing it crowded with people of Korean descent including some regulars.

The service is excellent but it is a small restaurant amd quite popular, so it does get crowded mostly at dinner time. That is when the service gets iffy which is understandable. What we do is we come early before dinner.

Do try Sister House when you crave a good Korean food and if you are around the area.
