I haven’t been to a Famoso in years, but I had a gift card so I figured why not? We got the 12” Funghi Pizza ($26), 12” Sicilianna Meat Lovers ($23), San Pellegrino ($5.5) and an Italian Soda ($3.5).
We were glad we got the regular size because these were massive. I really liked the pizzas, good ingredients and flavours. I was a little sad there wasn’t protein on my pizza, but it still tasted good. (Sure I could have added some for an extra price)
The Funghi Pizza consisted of roasted mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, fior di latte, Parmesan crema, grana padano, and arugula with a truffle oil drizzle. As a huge fan of oil base, this is a really good pizza. I sprinkled the arugula on every slice and throughly enjoyed the Italian cheeses with the fresh arugula.
My boyfriend got the Sicillianna Meat Lovers and he enjoyed it, however not as much the next day when reheating. I personally didn’t mind reheating pizza. This pizza consisted of fior di latte, basil, grana padano,prosciutto, Italian sausage, Italian ham and spicy capicola.
Drinks were good, but especially my Italian soda. Great price for something different.
We enjoyed our meal as a whole. Service was good but honestly there were only 2 tables. While I like trying Neapolitan pizza and imported Italian ingredients, it isn’t something that I can pay for all the time. After taxes and tip, you’re looking at around $70 for 2 people getting drinks and a pizza each (one of which didn’t have protein). At the end of the day, it really just comes down to what type of pizza you like the most. Because if you like Neapolitan pizza, then this is the place for you.

I had to use a bathroom and I have a rule that of I use a businesses bathroom I buy something.
I went into Fomosi and the young lady told me not to worry about the purchase.
She and the gentleman working there were very friendly, the restaurant and washroom facilities are very clean.
While I didn’t eat there I wanted to give them a review for their kind, courteous and professional demeanor.

I usually enjoy picking up orders from Famoso Italian Pizzeria and never had any issues until today. As an Uber delivery driver, I always bring my insulated bag. This time, the order was an extra-large pizza, and I only had my medium bag with me inside, but I also keep a large pizza bag in my car. Once I reached my car, I bagged it right away to keep it secure.
The staff member who gave me the order (a blonde Filipina waitress) made a complaint about me not having the bigger bag, but she didn’t ask or clarify beforehand. If the store requires larger bags for certain orders, I believe it would be more professional to inform drivers first or even refuse the pickup before handing it over—rather than making quick assumptions and giving negative feedback that affects drivers unfairly.
I’ve always respected this store and its staff, but today’s experience felt inconsiderate and disappointing. Clear communication goes a long way.
On top of that, I had to wait around 18 minutes because one of the cooks forgot to add the special toppings, which delayed the order. What made it worse was that I wasn’t even offered a simple apology for the wait.

The food was really good, the pizza tasted and looked great with a very good salad. The server was very nice and attentive asking if we needed anything and how things were without being constantly at the table even brining a water pitcher for us without us asking which we really appreciated. Very good experience I would definitely go back!

Well this restaurant is finally up for sale. Hopefully anyone looking to buy reads the reviews. I can not state enough INVEST ELSEWHERE. This restaurant has had a cockroach infestation for almost if not over a year now, when the owner first found out, he had someone come and put traps for them in (There were none before) and forget about the infestation. These traps clearly weren’t kept up with/ changed/ put in correct place because as I was sitting at the bar eating my pizza and a rich about half an inch long crawled onto the bar from where the beer taps are. I told the worker and he texted the owner but he let me know that there has been a problem there for months and that her boss has done nothing about it and that he does not keep up with stuff. Ecolabs apparently hadn’t been contacted in months to bring the proper chemicals and stuff for their dishwasher. Not to mention the owner never made sure the side duties were done, including the dishwasher filters being cleaned and such. I haven’t been in since a couple weeks after I saw the cockroach as a friend of mine wanted to try their food against my advice lol. Long story long, 375,000 dollars for a restaurant that has basically zero customer base, a cockroach infestation, and who knows what other kind of problems behind closed doors.

Decent value for food is the lunch deal. Soup or salad with a pizza for under $20. I believe there’s a few other options but it’s pretty good.
The dough is so soft and chewy (best part in my opinion). Ambiance is lively but not somewhere I’d close down until 2am. Picture an upscale sports bar that’s good for a bite and enjoyable time with friends.

MMM I tried the kale salad and it was absolutely delicious! I tried to make it at home it was so good! We had the procetta mozza balls as well, they’re my boyfriend’s absolute favourite. My daughter is a picky eater so we got the flat bread with mozza instead of feta. The waitress was friendly and the food never disappoints! We will be returning.

Sept 27/2025- the store was dead empty not a sinlge customer other than me. I came in asking about pizzas ha! Right pizza store… I wanted to see if they had a pesto pizza not familiar with the menu, the lady dark hair darker complexion turns the situation into and argument telling me what i should know and twisting the question i asked into a statement. Very bad service and no wonder it’s empty on a Saturday evening. Soon this place will be closed and all 3 women working will wonder “why don’t i have a job anymore????” I left didn’t order anything, I DON’T support stores with poor customer service. I haven’t cooked a meal in 6 years so i am quite regular to ordering in a restaurant and walked to another store beside no problems.

They have the best pesto shrimp pasta I have ever tasted. I would go again just for that and the pizza as well is pretty good. But still that pasta will always be amazing. Staff is super friendly too highly recommend!!
