Ray and I stopped in Chehalis for the night and were looking for a nice place to have dinner. We passed several chain restaurants, but we prefer trying local spots—and we’re so glad we chose Ocean Prime.
We weren’t entirely sure at first, so we walked in and asked to see the menu. Everything looked appealing, and it felt like a true dinner restaurant. It wasn’t very busy, but that’s understandable in a small town.
Ray ordered the chef salad, chopped and tossed with blue cheese dressing, along with a bowl of French onion soup. I ordered the Thai chicken wings, and they were outstanding. The sauce was absolutely delicious—full of flavor—and the wings were large, meaty, and generous in portion. There were about six wings, and I could only finish four because they were so filling.
I tasted Ray’s soup and salad, and both were excellent. The French onion soup had a refined, almost gourmet flavor—definitely not your basic version. You could tell a lot of care went into it. The salad was very fresh, crisp, and cold, just the way it should be.
Our server, Maria, was wonderful—super friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. If we’re ever back in Chehalis, we will absolutely stop here again. A great find and a pleasant surprise.

I am in town for a couple days to attend a training seminar and found this great restaurant to enjoy my dinners.
I have eaten here two nights in a row, that’s how much I like their food, atmosphere, and friendly staff.
The first night I enjoyed their Chicken Parmigiana and Linguine Alfredo. I also tried their Cheesecake with Caramel and Strawberries (but I asked them to not put the strawberries on mine).
Both were very tasty! I especially enjoyed their Cheesecake.
The second night I tried their 3 Tacos Dinner with Chicken and their appetizer Calamari.
Again, excellent food!
I almost wished I lived close by so that I could enjoy their entire menu!

Food is ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! Prepare yourself for a wait because the front of house is minimal but extremely worth the wait. The flavor of the food is amazing and is well cooked, it is beyond measure!! I will also add that the front of house is attentive and work hard!! I fully recommend but want you to know what to expect. AGAIN totally worth it!!

We stopped here for dinner on our way home to Seattle and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was nicely lit up from the outside with decorative lights and felt very welcoming. The food was great! We had delicious French onion soup, a nice crunchy salad with homemade blue cheese dressing and Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. They also had a nice selection of steaks and even pizza for the kids. All was scrumptious! And the Marion berry cobbler and ice cream was melt in your mouth tasty. The service was excellent and we were impressed with how clean the establishment was. After dinner we went to the bar which was a hidden gem. It’s in the back of the restaurant so you’d miss it if you weren’t looking. They had a nice wooden bar with a great selection. The bar also sported a pool table and a foosball table which were
great fun! All in all a delightful experience on our long road trip home.

It was a last minute decision to go out to eat and it couldn’t of turned out better! Our server (I wish I could remember his name) was quick, kind, and knowledgeable. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious! We split the ribeye and a small salad, and each got a bowl of soup along with the crab wonton appetizer. We cleaned every plate, including desert and I’ll be thinking about that incredible creme brulee for the next week!

My mother, my two year old and I just ate here. We were suprised by how good this place was. It wasn’t lit up very well from the freeway so finding it was a stroke of luck! I tried their crab rangoon which was good. My mom had the prime rib pasta and I had the crab mac & cheese. Both tasted fresh made and were rich and filling. Then my mom had the creme brule, and I have to say that normally I don’t like creme brule but this was actually delicious. We have a long drive home so I ordered a brownie to go. The chef said he makes the desserts from scratch and let slip he used to work at the space needle. No wonder the food was so good! We had to hurry out before we ordered the rest of the dessert menu. Prices are really reasonable and the quality is high.

Its Friday night!! At the last minute we decided a little post anniversary date in the big city to try a “new” place.
First off.. why did it take us this long to come here?? YUM!!!
2nd- you dont have to be here at 4pm like everywhere else (at least for now) to get the perfect prime rib (Fri-Sat only).
3rd- I just learned they re-opened the bar last week!!!!! & how did we not know our FAVORITE bartender was working here??? Audrey Jacobsen Not only that, they have my favorite vodka, Olympia Artesian Vodka and Steve Bridgman said one of the best Old Fashions he’s had.
Come on!! Let’s do better and support good times and great food!! Not to mention good music!!

Such a cozy lil restaurant, went while not too busy and the food was amazing and Kass was just as amazing and super sweet.
My party had gotten two burgers (you can ask them to cook the burger to any liking) Hubs is a supposed “burger connoisseur” and said it’s one of the top burgers he’s ever had, friend also second that.
Salad which you have the option to add steak on the side. It was cooked exactly how she had asked for it and turned out to be perfect. It was nice and tender.
I got the Prime Rib Pasta which was huge and amazing. The prime rib was nice and tender. All the food had the right amount of seasoning and great taste.
Another great dish that I absolutely recommend: Gluten Free Clam Chowder. I ate all mine before I got to take a photo so I took a photo of my buddies lol. I personally do love my soups to be a bit thicker, again that is just my personal preference, BUT it was still great, the flavors of everything in the soup was perfect and made up for it. It wasn’t heavy tasting at all and more of a light soup. I will definitely be ordering a big ole bowl the next time I get to come through.

I was just driving through and didn’t want fast food so I stopped in and ordered the Ahi Sandwich. It was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Great portion size and price. Instead of fries I got the Broccolini which was also cooked just right and lightly seasoned. I’ll definitely stop in next time I’m in the area.

Food is amazing! Service is wonderful our server was attentive and always made sure to ask if we were doing okay. We have visited this place twice just because I wanted to try their brunch menu. The dishes were presented so beautifully and tasted absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend Ocean Prime Family Restaurant for anyone looking for an upscale dining experience. I found the prices very reasonable, I live in Seattle and have tried many other restaurants where the food is not as good but prices the same or more. My husband and I love trying new restaurants even if it’s a drive and many of our favorite spots have been outside of Seattle. Ocean Prime definitely made it to our favorite list. We ordered the tomahawk steak and chicken Parmesan. The steak was tender and flavorful. Chicken was absolutely delicious. The Ocean S’mores was such a great experience. For brunch we had the French toast and Belgian waffle absolutely delicious not disappointed at all. I will definitely come back and try other food option in their menu. To me it was worth the drive!! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a date night or dinner with friends.
